@angryvideogameshad It was hard to understand what you wrote but Romero is the exact opposite of stupid. He basically designed and implemented the map editors for doom and quake as well as the key controls used in fps games to this day among other things. He was programming from an extremely early age much like Carmack. The two Johns are awesome!

@chrissyj91 Not to mention Romero is a great businessman as well. He was the responsible for the very early days of ID and their success even before that as a company. Carmack is more of a coder, and just that - but he's not just any coder, he's probably one of the, if not THE best out there at what he does. They were great together, polar opposites that worked wonders together, but ultimately, their differences ended up driving them apart.

I really wish they got back together, though.
