@SergeCWazukie Serge, it is better to use canola oil for cooking in the wok as it has a high burning point whereas sesame oil has a very low burning point and it will taste bad if it is burnt. Watch the video again when you have time and see how quickly we sauteed the peppers and when we added the sesame oil just at the very end for flavor. We promised you will love this recipe! Happy cooking!
@holidaykitchen oops! didnt clairify, i burned the red chilies LOL! and im sorry but i ate it again today and it was fine, i guess my medicine made everything taste bad! :( sorry fr the bad rap!
hi, a chinese resturant i used to go to make a dish they called 'szechuan chicken' that i'm desperate to recreate! It was strips of crispy deep fried chichen in a sweet, spicey, sticky and glossy red sauce, nothing like the szechuan sauces you buy in supermarkets.
@LIVELISTENLAUGHLOVE lol. It's been a year, don't know if it still matters to you. the whites wraps around the the chicken breast to keep it from drying out while cooking on high heat. It also helps the seasoning to stick to the meat. Hope it helps.
i didnt like this chicken :( the sesame oil tasted bad X_x and i burned the pan and the red peppers

What was the white egg for ?? Softening?
LIVELISTENLAUGHLOVE 3 years ago
Its common to find eggs used in recipes as a kind of batter for the meat, to help hold the cornstarch.
