I swear, I saw them perform this "live" at the 1993 American Music Awards. My son, who was only 6 years old asked me to go out and buy the CD or cassette of "Millenium" after we saw them perform this song on TV.
AAAAHH, Maurice White: Gracias por tus interpretaciones, la tonalidad de tu voz le da la fuerza necesaria para vibrar con emoción cada una de tus canciones. Que Dios te bendiga!!!
only good thing Sheldon ever contributed, he was a corny addition, he look was equally corny, he playing suited the commodores more than it did ewf...Sheldon should of never joined the EWF crew, I was so happy when he left. still a great performance though
@1980Triumph Sheldon was a much better guitar player then Johnny Graham and he was just as good as Al Mckay if not better..He just couldn't sing to save his life....
Nope, Sheldon wasn't nearly as good and actually once he was gone from the band he caused trouble on Maurice White's website where the fans could ask questions and discuss with one another. Sheldon was a big time trouble maker.
@1980Triumph Listen to Sheldon's solos...They are light years better then anything played by Johnny Grahan and better then Al Mckay's solos...Sheldon just couldn't sing to save his life....And again...listen to what he plays...
Sheldon's solos were whack and his regular playing was terrible. Johnny and Al were better in 79 than Sheldon in 2004. Also once he was gone for the group he started trouble on Maurice White's website, Sheldon is no good
LOL, I know guitar playing enough to know Al Mckay and Johnny Graham are better than Sheldon........not to mention Sheldon caused massive trouble for Maurice and his website
Dude, I have tons of EWF concerts from all era's....Sheldon's work is mediorce, he is a hack and that is why they got rid of him. Johnny's solo in Holland 79 blows apart anything Sheldon has ever done. Sheldon is also a big time trouble maker, he ruined Maurice White's website and that is why he will never play with EWF again and no one likes him. You are his only fan.
@1980Triumph You sound like a jilted school girl that Sheldom wouldn't give an autograph to...By the way "son" I don't hero worship anybody .I never met Sheldon but I "respect" his talent on guitar...You on the other hand, have some stupid hatred for Sheldon...well stop acting like a school girl and get over it....
HAHAHAHA...nobody cares about Sheldon but you, people will always remember Johnny and Al so why should I act like a schoolgirl, nobody but you remembers Sheldon, especially for his guitar work........LOL
Plus most hardcore EWF fans don't like him even more because he caused trouble on Maurice White's website
Again, no one cares, he isn't important. His guitar solos and riffs aren't remembered, no one care.....lol. Seriously when people think of EWF they will forever remember Johnny and AL while Sheldon was a stand in for a couple of years. After EWF dropped him, he was petty enough to go cause trouble for Maurice's website, Shedon was a bitch about them dumping his corny behind, and you know that is the truth..........lol
@1980Triumph You keep mentioning a website so I guess that's the reason for all your whining...well Sheldon is still playing with top-fight musicians so "somebody cares" about how he plays....And your logic about who people think of is stupid at best...Sheldon joined EWF after their success and played great for them...that's why is playing with Larry Dunn and Maurice Pleasure...can you explain that you jilted little school girl..???
You can call me names all you want, just because I don't agree with your lovefest of Sheldon. Listen, I understand you have a nasty little thing for Sheldon and that is fine but don't expect me to have one also. Larry is a genius but he isn't perfect, especially if he is playing with Sheldon. Please sucks, he drumming isn't anything special. Nobody likes Sheldon or even cares but you.........LMBO, seriously you are the one man army in the Sheldon fan club........loser!!!
@1980Triumph Nice attempt at a white flag school girl but the you still can't explain why so many top-flight musicians employ and work with Sheldon Reynolds...And I respect his guitar playing ...his singing sucks but he can play guitar with the best of them...since he's playing with the best....explain that while you're whining again...
@1980Triumph Here are some of the few people that Sheldon has worked with...Millie Jackson , The Commodores , Devoted Spirits , Pointer Sisters , Stephanie Mills , Brian Culbertson , Ricky Lawson , Bobby Watson , Bernie Worrell , Paul Jackson Jr. , Gerald Albright , etc...now what do they know that you don't...???...Here's a hint...it's one word that starts with an "m" and ends with a "c"......
That doesn't impress me. He can play but there is nothing special about him, he is a simple background to play simple background guitar. Also there are many professional musicians I don't respect. Parliament Funkadelic was a horrible band live, Jaco Pastorius is a crap bass player, Miles Davis played good only half the time, and Sheldon is garbage.
@1980Triumph You're an idiot.....Jaco was one of the premier bass players on the planet..Miles was...Miles...The "Funk-Mob" had some of the best musicians of that genre...Eddie Hazel , Bernie Worrell , Mike Hampton , Dennis Chambers , Fred Wesley , Maceo Parker , Bootsy Collins , Tyrone Lampkin...You are a clueless school girl that knows nothing about music....I was going to ask if you play an instrument but being that your posts are so stupid it's obvious that you don't...
LOL, your such a silly faggot. Jaco was crap. Your a silly loser who thinks its cool to like certain things regardless of their music merit. Your a silly little thing which is evident by you're weird sexual love for Sheldon......HAHAHAHAHA
@1980Triumph You have this "puppy boy" love for Micheal Jackson and you have the nerve to call somebody else a faggot...I merely state facts school girl...And if you know any bass players ask them about Jaco...As a matter of fact ask Verdine and Maurice White...And I was right...you're little school girl dumb ass never played an instrument...maybe skin flute....
LOL, again with the names........I guess that is as much to expect from a lowlife filthy cunt like yourself. The only puppy boy love here is your gay fascination with Sheldon whom no one else likes. Also Michael Jackson is the best, and I am not ashamed of the things I like......lol. Oh yeah, I heard what Verdine said about Jaco and I could care less, Verdine can play but if he thinks Jaco can play he is sorely mistaken...HAHAHAHAHAHA, loser!!!
The horns were the call sign that the brothers of Earth, Wind, & Fire still had it after 30 years of timeless music. (not that they ever left anyway) lol
Me parece de puta madre el restringir temas de los años ´80´, que las discográficas y todos los que habeis chupado del entorno, os habeis pulido ( en polivinilo, la mayoría...)....y ahora, coartados...
The first 6 tracks of this Album, by far, are the most underrated. I LOVE Sunday Morning. They should re-release this song. Please don't add any hip hop or someone else singing the solo, etc.--love Maurice's voice---leave it alone) One of their BEST EVER!!
When you go to the song list move down to the menu icon and press right or left the "play" symbol will become a rewind symbol the hit enter\ok and it will take u 2 a diffrent screen showing the option to play this song
This 1993 R&B track from EW&F is one of their most overlooked, has their signature vocals and musical arrangements, just simply a fantastic track from a fantastic and legendary band, hands down!!
Yes Maurice is EWF they are still good without him. Whats the deal with Shelton I heard Rumors. I love his perfomances with the band -Guitar and Vocals . Sunday Morning so Inspirational. Increditbale Horns
Reese is the man, I moved from L.A. to Phoenix when this came out, did not get the air played it deserved. On of My favorites along with Stand by Me and of course the main EWF Classics. Keep you head to the sky yall.
Saw Reese once in the audience at the same table in the old Ceasars. The Greatest group ever.
Maurice White...still smooth and supersoulful, even with a serious illness he is a million times better than everyone else. Thanks for lifting our spirits for so many years MW!
I saw the fantastic original music video on another website. The sound was really good! But I didn't know how to save it and upload it here. Anyone has any ideas? I would love to add it to my playlist here!
This clip is a hidden track from the official edited DVD release,, go to the track selection menu and press 'right' this will take you the this track ;-)
Yeah this is from the Millenium Concert Laserdisc version isn't it? I have the officially released footage of this concert on DVD. They didn't release this, Getaway, Yearnin Learnin, and a couple of other songs. if you have it please post Getaway! I have the audio of this and Sonny Emory's drum solo is wicked!
