Umm, no, harmonic minor is definitely a raised seventh.. Maybe you're thinking of melodic minor? It has a raised sixth and seventh.

You have to remove a plate at the bottom of the guitar and tighten the screwer that holds tremolo arm a bit. That's all I can say

Hendrix used a whammy bar, although it was non locking, on October 23, 1979 the patent was passed for the locking tremolo design.

that is not a whammy bar it is a tremolo bar only one direction and way of changing pitch which is down and low. the actual "whammy bar" or by its actual name floyd rose is different it can raise the pitch and lower it. the only reason it is locked is so it wont detune the guitar so easily.

Well you can rise the pitch with a normal fender strat tremolo too. But you may need to remove a spring or two from the back if you got all the five springs there but it's not a big deal.

But it's completely useless anyway to rise the pitch IMO. It doesn't matter if you have a Floyd or not but you can't rise the pitch much and the strings are not gonna like it anyway. You can get so high pitched notes with natural harmonics or pinch harmonics that there's no need to rise the pitch any more.

yea ok then why do people bends strings and use glissando and everything tis to have flow because you cant always go from a passage to just something randomn without flow it wouldnt be the same yes you can acheive these notes but its to do it in a style not jsut to acheive the actual not its to do i with feeling and flavor not just note playing. this is what seperates note players from actual players the style

Of course bending strings is normal and there is nothing wrong with that. I just meant that.. Well I wasn't thinking about sliding notes but I guess it's okay for sliding notes that you can also rise the pitch. But that's the only thing I need it for.

actually, a correctly setup traditional fender bridge should be sticking abit upwards so theres about 3mm in between the baseplate of the trem and the body, so the high e should go up a whole step when the bar is pulled up.. it gets back in tune easier when using the whammy, and the pitch vibrato is much more musical.. and of course, its easier to play cause flat mouting a trem, for me, always makes the strings abit stiffer...pulling the bar upwards is VERY useful and not pointless!

yea, its actually an Ibanez Edge trem. based off the Floyd. it looks almost exactly like the Official Floyd Rose. but its ibanez. thats why the bar is black and it just pops in, doesnt screw in like the floyd.
