  • Sounds like Jim Root joined Metallica... And picked up a Danish opera singer on the way. I swear, the vocals ruin it. Great song though.

  • The intro isnt that hard if u just get it down real slow first, its a easy shape. But sure the speed can be a problem, but as with anything learn it slow first then its not superhard anymore

  • @veronikaosth Yes... yes 0.o it does sound awesome though. Right you are though. Slow and steady/practice makes the guitarist (clean and well rehearsed), not clunky mistake infested speed.

  • That is one f**** up cover

  • Me: Im gonna learn this song on guitar! *grabs 7 string*

    Jeff: No your not...

    Me: SHUT UP JEFF!

    *Le reads Le tabs*

    Me: Nevermind...

  • damn intro!

  • All who enter here are KILLED!

  • 0:26 and then BRUTAL

  • one second in a nd you love this one .....amazing face punching rythyms

  • SO. FUCKING. SICK.

  • Fucking awesome intro riff. Heavy as shit yet it grooves hard.

  • this is a GREAT Nevermore track. If the rest of the album was as strong as this i dont think anyone could have justly complained about it

  • Even though I believe abortion is a right women should have, I definatly respect and love this song. I like the "Feel the hook" line haha

  • Great song!

  • thanks to my imagination im scared of elevators now

  • the best song of the album. Yeeaahh!!

  • it must be hard to copy paste the lyrics into the description

  • @e3axordos it must be difficult to open a new tab and search lyrics.

  • @ImperiumDarkness

It's not difficult,it's time consuming. Also what's your problem.

  • @e3axordos No problem. Just thought the effort this guy put into uploading this is not worth the shitty "must be hard to copy paste the lyrics", just because you are too fucking lazy to look them up.

  • @ImperiumDarkness

yes it all is serious business in the end of the day

  • @e3axordos But it's fucking easy to buy fucking record and have the lyrics in front of you.

  • @Saggrisch

guess what fag,I've already bought the record

  • Does anybody else know why there's a click at 2:24-25? Is that on the original album?

  • @kryptkeaper yea its on the album

  • @irwin3036able Nevermore is nothing without Loomis.

  • @duffmasterofpuppets lies. Dane is where it was at.

  • @duffmasterofpuppets this shows your knowledge about NM.There is also Dane and the ones that thumbed up are not NM fans.Just guitar nerds.

  • @VelcronC2 The other musicians are good, yeah, but Jeff Loomis was the main writer and was the backbone of the band.

  • @duffmasterofpuppets the main music writer you mean.Because the lyrics are mostly made by W.D.

  • @VelcronC2 Obviously. Nevermore is a band that's all about the instrumentals, lyrics are tertiary.

  • @duffmasterofpuppets NOOT!I think their lyrics are the deepest than any other band's.Their meaning in present society is huge.they are not like DIE DIE DIE and violence........how can you say that.?

  • @VelcronC2 Look, kid, before you attempt to argue with me, at least look at what I said. I said that lyrics are tertiary. Nevermore is a band that focuses on instrumentals. Writing meaningful lyrics (which Nevermore does a good job at) is admirable, but not difficult.

  • Seems to be about the war in Iraq/Afghanastan.

''Blurred in the name of freedom'' sounds like the US and other countries defending their conflicts as justifying freedom despite the atrocities of war that they've created.

''The ants, march you to your grave'' sounds like the officers at a recruitment station marching you into formation, completing your training and sending you off to war. It does sound like abortion (maybe it is but the lyrics are perhaps interpretive) Decent song as well. :)

  • I dunno. It seems more like New World Order conspiracy. The lyrics could also be about a population reduction program.

  • @CapnKeys excuse the quick end to my last comment, it was accidental. What I intended to say was that causing suicide isn't metal, it's not even sane if you did it deliberately.

  • @CapnKeys Now that I disagree with, supporti

  • Is that axe-fx already?

  • The 7 dislikes will be subjected to the TERMINATION PROCLAMAAAATION!!!

  • Anyone else think person on the left resembles a demonic justin bieber?

  • @CapnKeys I do. omg.

  • @CapnKeys FINALLY! A comment mentioning Justing Bieber just in passing, as opposed to seeking attention and thumbs up, thankyou very much. Sick of hearing about him as a way of seeming "metal."

  • @Joeseffel The "metal" kids don't give him enough credit. Composing music that causes people to blow their brains out by the masses is the most metal thing anyone could do.

  • <3 love this song!

  • My god Nevermore sold out. This is gross compared to past albums.

  • @stychin i have to disagree.

  • @ValuriDeNisip Thats fine man your opinion, I just prefer all their older stuff much more.

  • "Dead eyes can never see the beauty of disorder." Fucking awesome.

  • that monster on the left looks like my aunt

    hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

  • @Deathgirl6661995 if thats true we have the same aunt :O

  • "Dead eyes can never see the beauty of disorder"...

    Love it.

  • "Dead eyes can never see the beauty of disorder"...

    Love it.

  • "Dead eyes can never see the beauty of disorder"...

    Love it.

  • wtf... damn impossible riff in the begining D:

  • @xburninxthexremainsx Just a tip. Look at the Diminished Scale. That's what it is. If you learn that scale first in all its positions it might help with the intro.

  • @xburninxthexremainsx It's Nevermore what do you expect. :P

  • @xburninxthexremainsx Loomis is that badass :D

  • This song is so damn good!! Can't wait to see these guys again!! Starting to become my favorite band along with Testament. Good lyrics too! :)

  • Animal Cruelty.

  • Abortions and Nevermore rule!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • LOVE IT!

  • No way in hell are Nevermore human. =)

  • @CobArchEnemy406

They are, just a highly evolved species that looks and like normal people but aren't. They're many of them, but no one knows what they are because everyone except for people like us listen to Justin Beeber.

  • All instances in my life where this is playing I'm fighting my own reality. Fight! Don't let reality win. Otherwise you fail. Fuck fail up the ass.

  • @freddydesj Then spit in it's eye and call it a whore!

  • where can I find the album

  • @AntonAnk in your music shop or on Nevermore's myspace

  • @HuberttXXX17 in our country we do not have music shops with metal only with shitty music, welcome to ROMANIA!

  • @AntonAnk yeah man, sad but true

  • @iorost Warrel Dane, the band's vocalist and lyricist, is very critical towards politics and religion. This album, however, isn't about either of those two topics at all. Most of the lyrics in these songs are anti-abortion / pro-life, though it's concealed by the use of symbology and many metaphors. I think Warrel does a great job with that, because his lyrics never fail to interest me. Even though I'm more of a pro-choice kinda guy, I can still respect Warrel's writing abilities on this subject

  • @Santaslave666 abortion? the lyrics seem to be about war and genocide.

  • @DioPriest13 That's what I thought as well. Read the lyrics of this song, it's definitely about abortion. "And those who cannot speak Assume the positions and die" Unborn babies being "killed" "Feel the hook pulled by the system slave" Pretty self-explanatory "Eyes that shall never see A life chosen not to be fulfilled Fate does not choose a life Before the hand of Man" Most obvious example.
  • the opening riff rapes my face!

  • kid with the tongue looks like justin beiber and the kid with the mask loks like little micheal myers in rob zombies halloween hahahaha

  • sounds good but not new.

  • kid on the right of the album cover looks like Justin Bieber.

    can't be unseen :(

  • @TheUltim8Apocalypse now I'm going to think that is Justin Bieber whenever I'm looking at the picture to any of these songs. THANK YOU for bringing Justin Bieber up on a Nevermore video. (sarcasm)

  • @Whatpressure - well I find it very symbolic. it just means that Justin Beiber will be the death of this world.

  • @TheUltim8Apocalypse well that makes my comment look douchey... sorry man haha and he will be.

  • 4 people who disliked shall assume their "positions"...and DIE!!!

  • Finally get to hear em play this live, got VIP tickets get to meet the band F*** Yeah!

  • this is my favorite song by nevermore.

  • if anybody that lives in AZ wants to see these legends on OCTOBER 2ND, i have tickets to sell to you and your friends. so please let me know.

  • Its incredible that Warrell's lyrics in my opinion offer solutions and explain this Godless world we live in. That one man changed me. I think he's read 1984 once or twice, thats just me.

  • Hahaha they still got it. Nice to see them doing some "stripped down" songs this time around.

  • When I listened to the album for the first time, and this track started it off, it knocked me on my fucking ass. This song is so sick, and the album was great.

  • holy shit that`s wicked. I just want to lock myself in my room and practice playing guitar after hearing this.

  • @metelmachine ..followed by burning my guitar in a sacrifice to Lord Loomis.

  • the 3 people who disliked this song have no taste in music what so ever, crazy motherfuckers! nevermore is fucking amazing!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • why is there disagree buttom? :D

  • this is a really good song and the album wasnt too bad

  • this band is the awsome

  • amazing rythym =..loomis reigns..best band ever..van williams and hoglan are the best drummers

  • new nevermore, good shit.

  • this is destruction.

  • what an unorthodox riff + chords combination!?

    I LOVE IT!!!

  • i think my balls just turned to mush.

  • Next great song from this album !

  • with attidute like this (Loomis allowing P. Witchers to rearrange his songs) they'll never record anything nearly as brilliant as their 2nd and 3rd CDs

  • Fuck yeah, Symphony X is just as badass as Nevermore

  • THIS SONG NEEDS TO BE LONGER. WHY DO ALL GOOD THINGS HAVE TO END SO FUCKING FAST >_>

  • holy fuuuck.... suuuch amazing riffing!!!!

  • This song is about abortion, just read the lyrics.

  • @DMoD129 I thought it was about the secret FEMA camps where the government is going to exterminate all the undesirables.

  • @luke666808g Very possible. I suppose most of their fans(not me of course) are forgetting the title of the album. It's about conspiracies, although abortion is considered a form of eugenics which is a conspiracy as well.

  • @luke666808g Yeah, I kinda got something like that out of it as well. Though did not really think fema. Not here anyhow. :P

  • @DMoD129 Doesn't surprise me, given the subject matter and opinion in their other lyrics.

  • @DMoD129 Ugh sigh this song is not about abortion...More of a death camp situation. BUt i dont know that for a fact so it could really mean anything. Thats what was trippy about this album the lyrics are a lot less direct. I have to say its not my favorite album. But its nevermore so fuck yea!!

  • The drums are badass too, you guys overlook them. mehe.

  • people should check out symphony x if you like nevermore, not that they're similar just i love them both

  • @GGTopGuitarist Hell yeah, Symphony X and Nevermore are on the top of my list! Also, Pagan's Mind and Pyramaze.

  • This song is totaly insane between the vocals and the guitar possibly the best song EVER!!

  • AWESOME RIFF BY LOOMIS

  • This is the second track I've heard off the album (first being the title track) and so far I'm loving this album. Jeff is on top form here its unbeleivable.

  • Fucking AWESOME intro.

  • That intro riff is technically more complex than most solos I've heard. Jeff is a beast

  • that door

  • do you know how much i would pay for jeffs sperm???...i would get over the fact that he isnt my child when he comes fresh out of the womb with long blonde hair and a mini 7-string just shredding it up

fuck i need to go lay down

    JEFF LOOMIS!!!

  • you know how much i would fucking pay for jeffs sperm?...the doctor "oh shit ITS A LOOMIS BABY" comes out with 3 foot long golden metal hair and a tiny 7 string haha

    cocaine is crazy man

  • @anthomister2 Stop doing drugss maaaaannn....they make you hiiiiiiiiiigghhhhh. I personally like Emptiness Unobstructed and She Comes In Colors more than this.

  • I'm definitely Nevermorist. The best band in the world, Nevermore!

  • i wish i had a 7 string so i could learn th intro riff, 7 extra fretting fingers would come in handy too.

  • didnt go much on this track. sounds so forced and dodgy when he sings "the termination proclamation" part. some song titles DONT have to be sung in the song....

  • @RemnantsOfBeauty titles are usually named after the chorus of a song or the main focus. Im pretty sure they named the song after it was written. Plus this song is amazing

  • @DaEnglishWeiner each to his own =) just seems abit forced to me, doesnt sound that good as a chorus.

  • My thoughts:

    Intro riff is kick ass.

Solo's a little...short. Sounds amazing...but short. Loomis could just add to it in live performances so all is not lost :)

  • HEY all of the people that dont like this album .... i just idk. its an amazing album just as good maybe better than all the others. this album is way more technical and you can tell that jeff is progressing even further (which is something i didnt think was possible) these people are my ALL TIME favorite band ! utmost respect to these amazing musicians !

  • this song is pure genius. along the same lines as Fear Factories Fear Campaign. the lyrics are totally sick an the truth behind the words makes it a master piece.

  • fuckin love these guys from the beginning \m/

  • Why is there negative response to this album? I think it's as good as EoR, yet not as good as Dead Heart or TGE.

  • does anyone know any good grey matter cleaners? cuz this song blew my mind

  • @demigod325 watch pulp fiction

  • I dont think i'll ever be able to play this intro riff

  • compared to most of nevermore this song is boring and all sounds the same particularly because its basically all on the 7th string (N)

  • Can't wait for tabs of this song. It's going to be REALLY fun to play:)

  • The solo suprised me, I was slightly disappointed by it. The epic-ness at the end kind of helped though

  • love this fuckin song!!!!!! \m /

  • This whole album is pure genius, It's actually better then "Praises to the War Machine".

  • The riff is sick.. The upscale speed, holy shit..

  • @Santaslave666 It's my favorite riff so far. I need to learn it.... It's hard to get by ear, though. :(

  • i love for how every song on the album, the comments are all like "best song on the album!!!"

  • @sk88rdude999 All of the songs on the album are the best song on the album. Seriously though, for me, it's between this one and the title track. And I'm starting to really dig Emptiness unobsructured.

  • Wow

  • best...

  • How did you know i played for Byzantine?lol

  • onlyyyyyy one problem man solos not long enough everything else is perfect

  • @kudurrumaqlu

A Jeff Loomis solo that is anything short of an eternity is too short.

  • He does solos on the album and produced it so i assumed he may have had some influence on the writing, maybe not. But i do like his solos:D

  • @jerm26554 Same, I dig Wicher's work. The last SW album (Without him) was a little lacking, sadly. I think he and Andy should pair up more often; the sound on this is still core Nevermore, but with a more organic sound, if that makes any sense. And this is the best Warrel has ever sounded, I think. Btw, 'Oblivion Beckons' has been in my stereo for the last 9 months, no shit. \m/

  • What an awesome fucking song...Some trivia: What Sanctuary tune ALSO had the word 'termination' in it?

  • It's not the best Nevermore album because you can't top perfection. Did I mention it was perfect?

  • Btw i should also mention that Peter Wichers(X-Soilwork) had a lot to do with the album, in production and writing direction.

  • @jerm26554 Really? I see him listed as a producer, but not as a co-writer. I think you may have that confused with Dane's solo album. I can't find anything to substantiate that comment.

  • Great song, this Nevermore album is more like the old style, In Memory, and there first LP Nevermore. The songs are written differently and concentrate more on Warrell Danes voice than being super musicians this time around. A lot of people including myself will say its not there finest effort, but it is good. If your expecting This Godless Endeavor 2, or even Enemies of Reality don't. I've listened to the whole this twice and it slowly grows, but won't stay in my mind. So a little sad here.

  • i think is the best track of this albun

  • awesome!

  • fucking insane this song....one of the best songs on the album!!!!!

  • NEVERMORE RE MOUNIA! fucking great! it rules!

  • that guitar work is sheer madness

  • best song on the album

  • @jakas1018 I agree!!

  • @hatempire me too!

  • @hatempire I will third that. This song reminds me of a lot of their older stuff.

  • @hatempire X2

  • @jakas1018 cant really choose the best song, the whole album is fucking awesome!
