Also the idea that we should push people into taking out big loans that they were not ready for yet.

I have no problem if banks did this in every case yet still lost money

Funny thing is, I was watching the fox news round table and they were taking a census of their e-mails to see who "america" thought one the debate.

They proceeded to celebrate because their e-mails were 84% in favor of Palin. And I wonder about the people out there that don't realize that the majority of people that watch fox news are Conservatives. Of course they are going to present Palin as the victor. They cited other conservative "sources" as well.

Also, the poll of did Sara Palin exceed the expectations. Overwhelmingly she did. But that's not necessarily a positive either. Her expectations were so low, that unless she came out and fell on her face, or did the deer in the headlights, she had a GOOD chance to exceed her expectations.

It's mainly how victory is described in a debate. People saying "Alright, she didn't screw it up. That means she won!" are pretty short sighted individuals imo.

The poll you are referring to was done by Fox News, and it was a text poll. Considering that most people who watch fox news are already fairly biased toward McCain/Palin, the results are not surprising. It was in no way a conventional poll.

It could also have been rigged. Who knows...

I totally agree with you 100%, Just because Sarah Palin did not screw up like everyone thought she was, does not mean she did well. She dodged a lot of questions in changing the subject, and was never clear on what she stood on.
