  • @Rayver09 I am English. I moved to Paris 3 months ago as i fell in love with a French man. I never learnt French at school as i had to learn German instead. So i am a complete beginner in your language.

I still have not found a school/college/council that has a French teacher that can speak a word of English and i still sit there for hours trying to understand what she is talking about.....it's hell.

But go to England and you will find numourous English teachers that speak fluent French!!

  • she should learn English before trying to teach French ...

  • Hello, Stéphanie,

As a basic student of French, I found the visual display of the articulators very useful, mainly when you showed the way the lips round (the pouting) in vowels and final consonants. By setting off the /R/ sound from the syllable, you made me focus on this sound individually. And your intonation and liasions in the fast reading sounded very natural. Thanks for posting.

  • On dirait une mongole...

    Looks like she has downsyndrom...

  • I think that unless you have a strong sense of French sentence structure, you're not going to learn alot from her but if you do, she really helps to piece things together.

  • hahaha c'est pas censé être drôle mais ca l'est :p

  • Je suis indonesieen et J'aime la langue francais. ^^

  • Mon dieu! Je comprend pkoi ils peuvent avoir de la difficulté!

  • i cant understand any crap she is saying!!4

  • i like French language.but I wish every one who speaks to speak and pronounce each word clearly . and also tell themeanings in English.I find bbc language french does a good job. but still please speak ,pronounce clearly and slowly so that we non-french can understand and join your community of speakers of French .God bless you all who teach free French.

  • @gnr1932 that's not like British people and americans spoke clearly to foreigners

and, most of the time, English native people, when living in France, don't even try to learn French, they just find their little english community and live their life away from French people. I'm French and I live in Nice, so I know what I am talking about

  • thanks I knew all these phrases but the video helped with my pronunciation. I just finished French 2 in high school and hope to someday speak this language fluently.

  • СУПЕР НА НАЧИНАЮЩИХ

  • @1DerekRubin1 i guess it more or less depends on who you're speaking to, I know people who sound exactly as you described, and I know others who are always light and helpful, without all of the superiority. :/

  • Could she sound any slower?

    This feels slightly condescending...

  • I have a flat in Paris (2 bedrooms and a living room), I'd love to exchange apartments with an American, I did it twice and I'm thinking about doing it maybe next year again.

  • 1DerekRubin1 va s'en prendre une grosse dans la gueule par un français prétentieux en tout cas !

  • @1DerekRubin1

it's just Parisian, Québecois sounds much better :)

  • i like yr hair :)

  • is this recorded at judgemeadow?

  • very useful, thx. wish there was another "quick pronunciation" after breaking the sounds..

  • She sounds like she's vomiting.

  • Good point SexualTyrannosaurus! You tell those cowarldy French how it is! If only they were more like the Americans and the brave way that they joined the war 3 years later. And the way they deal with those communist types: invade a country and then after 60,000 Americans die, surrender and leave them to it.

That's the good old brave American way! Yeeeeehaaaaa!

  • Is it wrong to be aroused?

  • @troyhistory Yes, yes it it.

  • @troyhistory

I hope you keep making these vids ..cuz i have a bad memory and need to learn French..as I am going there in two years. My grandmother was French..but i never grew up around here. i was born here.

  • So funny !!! I want to sleep now !! Thank you !!

    Good sleeping drug ^^

  • va te faire enculer

  • she sounds retard.. My french teacher dosen't soun like that... this woman SUCKS....

  • Most french teachers SUCK ! , not herrrr .

French teachers these days don't do SHIT ! They give A's for free, they're lazy, they complain about their shittty pay even though i think they don't deserve a pay at all, they teach you crap that is so random i think you will never need it , they never teach you actual conversation that can help you when you speak with someone french.

  • very helpful :)

  • I think my French teacher did a very good job. They're just like any other teachers; some are good and some are crap.

  • how i love learning foreign languages. she's fun. actually when i listen to her french, i wish i'd be able to speak with such fluency. but then her english is disturbing. she's syllabicating waaaaaaay too much like a retard learning to speak LOL. sowee. peace.

  • she is breaking it down TOO much.. like every syllible she breaks into like 3 parts!

  • @ItsJustJasmine I agree! She breaks down the words so much that they all sound the same! I can barely differentiate the words. It's so confusing. I think I'm going to find another tutor... gosh.... free internet lessons aren't what they used to be.

  • Which play-list I can found all video ?

  • Cest juste les vrai francais qui peuvent apprendre le francais au anglais!!Moi je suis canadienne et on parle VRAIIIIIIIMENT pas comme ca !!

  • L0L!

  • not beautiful. but helpful.

  • Comment removed

  • HARD ANNOYING UH QUIT TALKING

  • is she retarded

  • its not "fukked" up your just to closed minded. maybe if you tried to look at it as something new and interesting you will stop having the assumption that your'e way is the right way-this was directed to reichsfuehrrSS

  • oh really, sorry that i posted my opinion about the french language. i learned japanese, russian and hebrew because i think it's "new and interesting" but i don't think that about french, because imo it's a weird language. it's not phonetic (look it up if you don't know) that's why i don't like it.

but if language-nazi tells me to like french i like french :P

  • looool

  • french should be phonetic.....it's so fukked up

  • but its pleasant to the ear

  • that's right, of course, but please write it as you speak it :)

  • ???

  • Okay, I absolutely love learning other languages, but French seems so hard to me... even Arabic is easier to pronounce/understand to me. There's just way too many sounds that are difficult to hear (e.g. n, r, all the silent stuff), I just think its extremely difficult to differentiate the words when you have words that sound like "ou"; basically just a quick "oo" sound. Just how I feel about it :P

I do hope to suck it up and learn it well some day though! Ha.

  • @wokabomb

I know it's a bit difficult to understand for native english speakers, but english is by far the most difficult to speak, because of pronunciation/word stress and the chaotic spelling (non phonetic language). French (or spanish, german...) pronunciation/phonetic is very regular compared to english.

But you have to catch each french sounds and it "suddenly clicked".

By the way, the pronunciation in the video is really too exaggerated...

  • @Armand2Maupertuis

I don't disagree that English has very difficult aspects to it (spelling, idioms), but its far from being the most difficult to speak. Try learning Arabic, Hebrew, or any tonal language, they'll make you cry.

  • @wokabomb Try to learn Finnish... That is hard!!

  • Its not that the characters are not pronounced.

Its just that its pronounced differently.

Of couse some of the Godly Selfish English Speaker cant understand there are other language on Planet Earth.

SOME English Speaker, emphasis on SOME

  • Wow, you're a stupid cock.

  • I know the differences in ou and où. I was just saying that in this video the authour has not put the accents on the ù's in questions such as "Ou est l'eglise" it should be "Où est l'eglise".

  • Yeah, the accents should be in place (she was asking OR is the church, not 'where')

  • Comment removed

  • Hmmm... French is difficult. So many characters are not pronounced.

  • i know exactly how you feel mate i work with two french men

  • oh gosshh! have u ever heard german?? THIS IS THE WORST PHONETTIC LANGUAGE EVER!

    French is ok ...

  • well acctually no.....

German has nearly no exeptions so for example an 'A' can never be like in English being both the sound 'Ah' and 'Eh'. So if you know the rules it does sound phonetic.

but yeah german is kind of annoying

  • i dont understand ......

  • Why have they put accents on somethings (acutes on 'e's) but not on others? Such as où (rather than ou)?

  • some words are spelled the same way but mean different things if they have an accent. For example, "ou" without an accent means "or", and "ou" with an accent means "where".

  • No no. I wasn't asking why accents were put on words - I was remarking that her grammar was incorrect. There should be accents on some of the u 's.

  • Sorry; the way your comment was worded it sounded as though you were asking about the use of accents in French. Funny how many people watch this video when they already know the language!

  • Yeah, I see where you were coming from.

  • ou = or

    où = where

  • YOu might also want to say:

Je veut baiser ta mere. - A compliment

Tu es un con(ne). - say the brackets if it's a woman this is asking where the nearest car park is.

  • Absolutely

    Also :

Je veut baiser -- I'm hungry

Good luck with leaning french ;)

  • LOL

  • When is he gonna sing "Changes" or "Space Oddity" ?

  • t supide

  • wow that was kind of hard to understand

  • Geez her French accent sucks (and the English one ....) this course has to be the worst I've seen in ages. I'm French and I hope you 'll still want to learn my mother tongue after watching this video ;)

    Good luck

  • It's interesting your course but would it be grate if you say the phrases in normal speed, too slowly is great for comprehension but what is the intonation in normal speaking?

  • OOps, I meant to say its for beginners not idiots.

  • Waaaaaay too fast in translation. Erm...remember this is for beginners for idiots.
