i use 3 dl plane flower with 2 dl white sugar and 200gram butter 2 teaspoons vanilla powder 2 teaspoons bakingpowder and instead of oatmeal belive it or not i swear sound funny but i use cornflakes and i put bread groms in to the baking form to not stick when its done it comes out perfect try it
This is a crumble not a crisp. There is apple crisp and apple crumble. Crisp has oatmeal and crumble doesn't. Crumble is just flour, fat, and sugar. When I make my crumble I cut the butter into the flour like you do with pastry , adding sugar as well . It does not take long and it is not difficult. I never use an egg. I think my crumble looks better as a finished product than when you pour the butter over top. This one looks like it has dry sections and floury sections.
Would someone please please PLEASE answer my question and give me a good recipe for a no oatmeal apple crisp???? No walnuts in the topping, no eggs, no oats, just an apple crisp recipe with a streusel topping.
The real problem is that the ones I have found I have not been satisfied with BECAUSE many of them instruct the person to put PLAIN apples into the baking dish without any additional FILLING ingredients such as flour, sugar, or spices. And then it's too tart AND the juices run.
I cannot find an apple crisp recipe that I am satisfied with. The one that I usually use has oatmeal in it, and it is very good. But when making it for my dad, he prefers it without the oats. This one looks like it would be good, but how come you do not mix any sugar and cinnamon in with the apples? If you're using mostly granny smiths, I think that the filling would be rather sour.
Thank you soooo much! You made this recipe so simple to do. Plus you did it without the Oatmeal flakes which I prefer! I will try this recipe very soon. Thanks again!!!!!!!
hi just wanted to tell you you did and AMAZING job explaining. I've been looking for apple crisp recipes and everyone person i looked they didnt' explain it well. but i'm going to try and cook them tonight!
Hi Maria, you love to cook, I thought your recipe was amazing. I like your speech too, meaning you weren't to fast, slow or too loud. I enjoyed watching you cook because the desert looked really good, and hearing the kids in the back ground which made it sound like home. Thanks Maria.
Am going to try this for my sister's birthday party. There's going to be a lot of children, so i think they will enjoy it! Thanks. Looking forward to more videos! =)
Thanks for sharing I have mine in the oven now...smells so good:)

What a simple and delicious recipe. Would you recommend any other type of apples? As I do not like Granny Smiths.

If you are not using oats, then surely this is an apple crumble and not an apple crisp?

Do you know if this would work with gluten free flours? 2 members of my family have celiac and can't have wheat flours.

Is it 1 cup sifted or sifted flour measured as 1 cup?
watermelon165 4 years ago
Looks great Maria! But, I'm pretty sure a 1/2 a stick of butter is a 1/2 cup, unless you use different butter.

Disregard my last comment. I was not thinking. Haha! You're right, I'm wrong. Sorry about that.
