I never thought I would see Trent clapping his hands in the air...this music just shouldn't be played anymore. It's alright that's Trents not at the bottom anymore, but this music comes across as campy if he's not writhing in pain while playing it.

I have heard this song so many times (bought TDS the week after it came out) and everytime i hear this song, at the end he says "burning with your god in humuilty, will you die for this", and i can not hear those lyrics at all in the song. Are they really in the song?

@wholish They could be. They're in parenthesis in the lyric book, like with Pretty Hate Machine, so they're probably there to indicate what would've been. But who knows, it could be hidden beneath all the layers of noise.

@wholish a lot of sometimes people will sing new added words in live songs like i don't remember the will you die for us part. but Depeche Mode adds new lyrics sometimes as well like one or two lines off top there head.

@ynattirbelise but i think if NIN did shows again and they wanted to keep it low key, they should keep doing the shows like this one, and play an album in its entirety. Small venue, tons of energy, and a great album live. My only annoyance was trent going "hey'. Took away for the performance for me, but he'd done the same songs so many times. I guess its cool with him.

So glad I saw NIN while they were on Lights in the Sky over North America. I had no idea Trent was planning on taking an indefinite hiatus on touring, so I had no idea how valuable that night would become, but I'm definitely glad I went. One of the best live performances by any band I've ever seen. Truly a master at live performance.

i got to see the downward spiral played a few days later at the palladium in hollywood. It was even more awesome there (the crowd was nuts).

i remember way back in 90 when he first hit the scene.. just the way that society was... no facebook/myspace/twitter and the digital world was just getting off the ground.. you had guys like me in hickville usa walking around a school with maybe 1000 kids from k to 12. me walking around all day with nin in my head... so alone... that geeky kid with out a place.. trent was there... and now hes gone.. its sad but its also time for him to say good bye.. i will never ever let trent be forgotten..

Well because in the 3 shows I went to in NYC, I only saw Ruiner and Eraser once. I've been to 8 NIN shows and it took the 7th show to see Ruiner. So besides hearing them play new songs, being at a show for my favorite band is the most fun I could have.

this is my favorite of the set. i never really appreciated the open camera policy until this dvd. really superb video editing. shame there isn't a better audio source, but nice to know that if one ever shows up, the great video editing here will still be put to good use.

love the macho "YEAH!" at 2:36 and all the blue wristbands clapping after. guitar tone at 3:10 is insane, too.
