KX USB Keyboard Studio by Yamaha

Does this only work for one program or what? I re-installed everything twice and it's not working. Can someone help me?

Yeah I'm with the guy that had to try and sign up for the "FREE SOFTWARE" that comes with the keyboard. That was a joke and I never could get registered and the whole tech support was a joke. I ened up getting FL Studio 7 and Reason 4. So there...... Yamaha lost me as a customer. But who cares they have millions that will put up with that kind of crap!

I just got the Yamaha KX 25 and im having problems with the driver. Im using a pc and a mac and it doesnt work with eathier. i can download the driver but i cant install anything. Ive been working on this shit for 5 hours. Please help me. oh and they didnt give me that cubase ai daw or the other program, the program i have on PC is Cubase 3 i believe or 4. I cant remember which one i bought. and on the mac I have cubase 3 or 4 and Garageband. PLEASE HELP.

It works with Logic, sure. They just have to plug Cubase because Yamaha is affiliated with Steinberg and they bundle Cubase AI4 with all of their keyboards. At least the Motif series workstations have preset DAW control sets for Cubase, Logic and Sonar.

I'm planning to buy a midi controller keyboard, to work with reason or other. I play in an acoustical instruments band, so the point is to produce environmental sounds and some percursion loops.

I'm deciding between the Yamaha KX-61 and M-Audio Axiom 49. What would be your choice, concerning also to device and keyboard quality? :P
