You should really get Havel's ring. It doubles your max load, allowing you to move more quickly in heavy armor. I have it equipped along with the elite knight armor and I feel like a light tank! you get by killing the black knight at the bottom of the basement in the tower over by where you killed the Taurus demon.
Mhmm, I always hated valley of defilment (except the epic final part that made up for everything, and the meat cleaver phantom who was badass hard). And I still hate blight town, no amends.

If anyone is interested, I just started up a Dark Souls walkthrough. Not trying to steal people away from Ghostrobo, I just wanted to get the word out there.
before you go to blight town :get the crest that cost 20000s from the blaksmiths and farm the astoras forest u get 8000 souls evrytime u reset thumbs up so he can see :P
You can get the ring by joining the forest covenant. Open the gate that you need to buy the key for, go forward until you see a ruin by a cliff. Go talk to a cat like creature that sits in the window and join its covenant. Afterwards, a merchant will appear just outside the ruin. Behind him there will be a ninja looking fellow standing close to a drop. Kill him (if he falls down, just save and quit and his drops should appear on the ground). This will make the covenant hostile however.
A good ring you can wear while being at light or medium equip limit is the dark wood grain ring, aka the ninja flip ring. If you're at the medium equip limit it will make your character behave as if you're at the 25% limit as well as make your rolls turn into cool ninja flips that are faster, have longer range and a much shorter recovery time than the normal roll animation.
Divine weapons are nifty for when you enter the catacombs as you can make the skeletons die permanently. Otherwise you have to kill the necromancers for that to happen. Divine scales with faith though, so if you don't intend to make your character a miracle user you probably shouldn't turn your main weapon into divine.

About one Dark souls video for every 5 batman videos or 2 uncharted videos. Yet this game will take you about 4 times as much time and effort to complete under a regular commitment. ._. I hope you will finish the others so you can focus on this game and stop falling down the learning curve steps.

ok, ive watch the all of the episodes is two days. ive realized a few things. for one, you are a cowered when it comes to exploring the white light. you will be able to get to you body easily because you already know what to expect. take more chances. second, intelligence should increase your magical atk so you should level that up. those are the only two (bad) things i have to say. i enjoy your commentary and you weapon chose. keep up the good work.

Hey Ghost been watching you for a while now since u first put up the first vid on dark soul but i notice that you use a character that is high on dex but u dnt use a bow and arrows or crossbow... Two handed attacks are always great to use on slow moving enemies and instead of rolling try strafing around the enemy easier to kill enemies that way unless the us AOE(area of effect), but the bow works wonders if u want to bait an enemy or snipe from a distance
Yo Ghost, just got my game and it is awesome. Anyway, I quickly noticed that upgrading your gear is way better than upgrading yourself, so do buy the Upgrade Boxes and I also burn all my souls in Titanite Shards whenever I pass by the blacksmith, so I just collect a few thousand souls later on and upgrade my stuff at a random bonfire.

Spoiler Alert : k if u dont kill him he will kill the fire keeper and not be able to use the bonfire there but if u kill him u get his ring of protection that raises ur health stamina and load out lik so he can see :D
you are gonna have to fight the blight town witch at the bottom of the swamp and then there is the bell in which u ring and go back to fire link shrine and u can sell stuff to this snake guy and an easy way to get more souls is to buy the blue orbs from the weird moss lady in the sewer entrance for 10 buy as much as u can and feed it to the snake guy for 100 souls each for somthin that only costs 10 souls als u shuld kill the golden knight guy
Good place to farm is right where u died, those three tree monsters plus a few of the stone guardians will give you a good amount of souls then u can respawn them with the bonefire close by. Anyways make your way down darkroot basin down to where the dark knight is and get the grass crest shield it recovers stamina faster when u wiled it. That place is creepy as hell oh and theres a bonefire near there in a cave that leads to an elevator leading to dragons.

Okay ghost once and for all, your always thinking about being slowed, so heres what i did myself and what perhaps youd like yourself. You have an equip load, its equals how much you can equip without being slowed too much. If your at 25% of your equip load your at max speed. above it you get slower and slower until your above 75% whereafter as ive understood it you cant roll at all and such. so if you want better armor, go lvl endurance alot, it means more speed no matter the armor. Thumps up!
Oh yes, and I forgot to add, you remember that ledge that you looked out over in the Darkroot Garden? There was a path there if you would look beneath the ledge that leads to the Darkroot Bason. There is a hrydra there in the middle of a lake, and some enemies that are tough. you could farm there.
ok, so Ghost, I got this game because of watching your videos. And now I'm a higher Lv. then you. I think you should get the rusted ring and use the moonlight soul to make a weapon, not for souls. Blighttown is not hard because of tough enemies but because of the poison bog at the bottom and the height. The enemies can push you off, or you might just fall off, but you'll still die at that height.

What's with all the comments on the 20k Crest of Astoria farm method? When these guys mean farm, they mean exploiting the pathing of the A.I, making them kill themselves and using the souls to over-level. That's cheating, in my opinion and wasn't intended by developers. If Ghost does that, I would lose my respect.
GhostRobo, can't you save your game at the blacksmith and then give him the Divine Ember and see what happens and if you don't like what happens load back to before you gave him it? I don't know because I don't have the game.. it's just an idea.
@Larzon196 You can't manually save in this game. It saves at nearly every move you do. Means that if you were to make one simple mistake, it can't be undone and you're screwed till the next playthrough. Though there's no reason to hold the ember, it's required for you to give the ember if you want to craft divine weapons.
Go back to the undead burg and go to the door below the stairs before the taurus. A guy named havel is their with an amazing ring that raise weoght load to 80.
I think my game is glitched or something. When I try to kindle a bonfire it says I have no humanity, but I have 13 & 1 double humanity in my inventory. Has this happened to anyone else? Can it be fixed?
hey man right now just keep reinforcing it then itll get to a point where it disappears from the reinforcment list back out and ittl be inthe modify weapon list moidfy it using titanite chunks then ittl appear back in the reinforcment list later on you get the soul of another boss and a blacksmith in anor londo can use to to ascend it into a kickasss fire weapon called quellaggs fury sword
i think you should make the shield, its ment to have an epic attack, espesialy if you have your uchikatana it wil do double that damage in a beam of some sort
Another piece of advice: do not fight all the enemies you encounter. Fight all of them if you are farming or if you are encountering them for the first time but no need to fight the tough fights more than once (like the tree guys who killed you here hehe). Just run past them. It saves your weapon/armor durability and time too. And it would have saved your souls if you have just dashed for your body here hehe! keep up the good work
Ghost so far youv been doing a great job i just think before you go to blight town you make sure you get some BLOOMING purple moss because it cures toxic attacks and youll need that in blighttown. Also keep and large boss souls because they can be used to make wicked sweet weapons. other than that my only thing i can say is level up a little more often. keep up the good work ghost!
Keep the Soul of the Moonlight Butterfly until you get to Anor Londo. You can create an amazing shield with it (you need a small shield +10 in order to do so). It does an incredible amount of damage with it's special attack, even if it's durability is pretty low. It's great against most of the bosses.
If you want to keep using a weapon with low durability, I'd say get the Washing Pole. It's just like the Uchigatana except it's much longer provided better range I'd assume.
you missed the door in the depths after you beat the dragon.. its next to the merchant sitting criss cross.

About one Dark souls video for every 5 batman videos or 2 uncharted videos. Yet this game will take you about 4 times as much time and effort to complete under a regular commitment. ._. I hope you will finish the others so you can focus on this game and stop falling down the learning curve steps.

ok, ive watch the all of the episodes is two days. ive realized a few things. for one, you are a cowered when it comes to exploring the white light. you will be able to get to you body easily because you already know what to expect. take more chances. second, intelligence should increase your magical atk so you should level that up. those are the only two (bad) things i have to say. i enjoy your commentary and you weapon chose. keep up the good work.

Hey Ghost been watching you for a while now since u first put up the first vid on dark soul but i notice that you use a character that is high on dex but u dnt use a bow and arrows or crossbow... Two handed attacks are always great to use on slow moving enemies and instead of rolling try strafing around the enemy easier to kill enemies that way unless the us AOE(area of effect), but the bow works wonders if u want to bait an enemy or snipe from a distance

Yo Ghost, just got my game and it is awesome. Anyway, I quickly noticed that upgrading your gear is way better than upgrading yourself, so do buy the Upgrade Boxes and I also burn all my souls in Titanite Shards whenever I pass by the blacksmith, so I just collect a few thousand souls later on and upgrade my stuff at a random bonfire.

Spoiler Alert : k if u dont kill him he will kill the fire keeper and not be able to use the bonfire there but if u kill him u get his ring of protection that raises ur health stamina and load out lik so he can see :D

you are gonna have to fight the blight town witch at the bottom of the swamp and then there is the bell in which u ring and go back to fire link shrine and u can sell stuff to this snake guy and an easy way to get more souls is to buy the blue orbs from the weird moss lady in the sewer entrance for 10 buy as much as u can and feed it to the snake guy for 100 souls each for somthin that only costs 10 souls als u shuld kill the golden knight guy

Good place to farm is right where u died, those three tree monsters plus a few of the stone guardians will give you a good amount of souls then u can respawn them with the bonefire close by. Anyways make your way down darkroot basin down to where the dark knight is and get the grass crest shield it recovers stamina faster when u wiled it. That place is creepy as hell oh and theres a bonefire near there in a cave that leads to an elevator leading to dragons.

Okay ghost once and for all, your always thinking about being slowed, so heres what i did myself and what perhaps youd like yourself. You have an equip load, its equals how much you can equip without being slowed too much. If your at 25% of your equip load your at max speed. above it you get slower and slower until your above 75% whereafter as ive understood it you cant roll at all and such. so if you want better armor, go lvl endurance alot, it means more speed no matter the armor. Thumps up!

Oh yes, and I forgot to add, you remember that ledge that you looked out over in the Darkroot Garden? There was a path there if you would look beneath the ledge that leads to the Darkroot Bason. There is a hrydra there in the middle of a lake, and some enemies that are tough. you could farm there.

ok, so Ghost, I got this game because of watching your videos. And now I'm a higher Lv. then you. I think you should get the rusted ring and use the moonlight soul to make a weapon, not for souls. Blighttown is not hard because of tough enemies but because of the poison bog at the bottom and the height. The enemies can push you off, or you might just fall off, but you'll still die at that height.

What's with all the comments on the 20k Crest of Astoria farm method? When these guys mean farm, they mean exploiting the pathing of the A.I, making them kill themselves and using the souls to over-level. That's cheating, in my opinion and wasn't intended by developers. If Ghost does that, I would lose my respect.

GhostRobo, can't you save your game at the blacksmith and then give him the Divine Ember and see what happens and if you don't like what happens load back to before you gave him it? I don't know because I don't have the game.. it's just an idea.

@Larzon196 You can't manually save in this game. It saves at nearly every move you do. Means that if you were to make one simple mistake, it can't be undone and you're screwed till the next playthrough. Though there's no reason to hold the ember, it's required for you to give the ember if you want to craft divine weapons.

I think my game is glitched or something. When I try to kindle a bonfire it says I have no humanity, but I have 13 & 1 double humanity in my inventory. Has this happened to anyone else? Can it be fixed?

hey man right now just keep reinforcing it then itll get to a point where it disappears from the reinforcment list back out and ittl be inthe modify weapon list moidfy it using titanite chunks then ittl appear back in the reinforcment list later on you get the soul of another boss and a blacksmith in anor londo can use to to ascend it into a kickasss fire weapon called quellaggs fury sword

Another piece of advice: do not fight all the enemies you encounter. Fight all of them if you are farming or if you are encountering them for the first time but no need to fight the tough fights more than once (like the tree guys who killed you here hehe). Just run past them. It saves your weapon/armor durability and time too. And it would have saved your souls if you have just dashed for your body here hehe! keep up the good work

Ghost so far youv been doing a great job i just think before you go to blight town you make sure you get some BLOOMING purple moss because it cures toxic attacks and youll need that in blighttown. Also keep and large boss souls because they can be used to make wicked sweet weapons. other than that my only thing i can say is level up a little more often. keep up the good work ghost!

Keep the Soul of the Moonlight Butterfly until you get to Anor Londo. You can create an amazing shield with it (you need a small shield +10 in order to do so). It does an incredible amount of damage with it's special attack, even if it's durability is pretty low. It's great against most of the bosses.

If you want to keep using a weapon with low durability, I'd say get the Washing Pole. It's just like the Uchigatana except it's much longer provided better range I'd assume.
