  • Hey so I'm thinking of buying this rifle to put together a cheap sniper rifle. I don't like the scout scopes because of the look. I also would like a LER scope above the receiver because it looks better and I can take it off and use the rear iron sights for back up. Does this mount come loose or the scope after you fire a lot of rounds? How much was your scope for?

I'm goinge to put a compensator, rear rubber butt stock pad, and swivel bipod after I mount a scope. No more then $500

    Thanks

  • @MyCleverSN Because the band covers so much surface area in contact instead of 2 screws, this thing will never come loose. That scope I had was like $120 or something. If you do put this stuff together, make a video response to mine and I'll post it up.

  • @savage1r I actually am going to put together a video on this weapon. I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this mount though because I want to put a video together on how to build a cheap sniper rifle. So I'm really trying to get a good stable mount that won't come loose for cheap. Trying to put this together for $375. Mosin nagant 9130 round not hex receiver cause its cheaper, bent rifle bolt, mount, scope, compensator, bipod, and rear butt stock pad.

  • @MyCleverSN Well, good luck to you.

  • For heaven's sake, take the bolt out before you remove the action from the stock. It'll simplify access to that rear screw, and remove any doubt (at a glance) whether the weapon is in a safe condition. There's no reason to have the bolt in for this operation.

  • hey my rien has one of those guns and im just wondering why u didnt just have it taped like a remington 700 so u can put a rail on it. it just seams like that would be to high and not stable enough. just wondering if u thaught about the taping thing or if you decided not to do it ccuz of cost or whatever

  • @yaman123able It was tapped and the gunsmith screwed it up and over-bored the holes so the screws would loosen every 20 shots or so. The jmeck mount is just as stable as any tapped mount and doesn't require the cost of D&T and screwing up your firearm.

  • @savage1r I did do two videos on the mount under "JMECK Steel See Thru Scope Mount" and a part 2 after installation. Check out my other videos. I just completed the 3 line rifle stock custom project rifle.

  • How do you load the firearm with the mount so far back?

  • I just received my steel see thru scope mount and it looks great and easy to install.

  • @ratagris21 Let me know how the install goes and how it shoots. If you can, make a video review/response yourself and I'll post it.

  • do you need to turn down the bolt in order to use this mount?

  • @frozenmice For the 'In-line' mount, yest. For jmeck's new modular/side mount, no.

  • Is this this aluminum mount?

  • @Zippy765 I believe he has both aluminum and steel available.

  • Well, regular whitetail season is now over and here are the results. Carried the Mosin 91/30 every day I went out. Had the chance for 2 shots, one at 65 yards, the second at 130 yards, (I carry a rangefinder). Both were one shot kills, the 65 yard shot dropped in it's tracks, the 130 yard shot ran for about 40 yards then went down. Both shots hit right where I was aiming. I was using handloads with a 130 grain JSP. No problem with the mount! Great product!

  • I am really thinking about buying the same turn down bolt kit, as well as buying this mount, is there any way you could make another video showing the clearance of the bolt and the scope? Would really help me decide what to go with. Thanks!

  • First off nice vid! Second, I was thinking about getting the utg tri-rail system for my 91/30 but, after seeing this, It looks like it would be easier and more effective in the long run. What are your thoughs about the tri-rail by utg and which of the tw.o would you reccomend.

  • @NewWorld323 Thanks! I would shy away from the tri-rail, that's like 1+lb of metal you're putting on the gun, plus you'll have to get a long eye relief scope. Granted you can hang every accessory known to man off of it, but then you have to carry that monstrosity around and it ends up mostly being a bench rest rifle instead of a carry around. I'd recommend going with jmeck's over most other options. I hear Rock Solid has the best drill and tap mount around.

  • @shoup2882 & savage1r. This is what I am talking about the end results of what the scope mount can do once installed, but of course, on video. Thanks for the information and this should help get more and more product sales. The one question I have is if the band will help in the process by act as a shim and help in the free floating of the barrel as someone else mentions to shim where the band is to sit on the stock.

  • Mounted one a week ago on a 1942 Izzy ex-sniper. Very solid, fired 3 types of ammo, total of 100 rounds, both surplus and handloads. First 3 rounds at 50 yards went through one jagged hole! Held zero with no movement. It is now sighted in with 130 grain Interlock Soft Points. Mounted a spare Tasco 3X9X40, Shoots aprox 3/4 inch group at 100 yards off of a bench on 9 power. Exceeded my expectations. Will be using for whitetails in 2 weeks in Pennsylvania. Will be back with the results. Good Mount

  • @shoup2882 That's awesome! I'm gonna copy this text and send it over to him, he'll love hearing about it!

  • Thanks for posting this detailed overview of this great product. Most people who post video really don't address much in detail and few like you do. I would like to see a follow up video detailing what set up you are using, types of rounds fired like brand, grainage, etc. and the results say something like 50 or 500 rounds and how the product holds up. I think this would really answer a lot of questions that are still out there. Thanks again.

  • @ratagris21 Actually, I've started getting more and more inquiries about this a few years out so I think I'll make a followup video talking about it. I got an awesome comment in this video thread about someone else who installed one and has had great results.

  • looks kinda cheesy! how accurate does it stays?

  • @almazplusmaria Stayed zeroed for 2 years of shooting and abuse. It got too easy hitting targets at 500 yards with the scope so I took it off so I could practice with irons agian.

  • I just ordered one today! you should feel responsible for this. lol I hope it works well

  • @BoggleDongMongerFlog Well, I'm pretty damn confident you're going to enjoy it. Make a video response when you're done and let me know how you like it.

  • that guns smith needs to DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have noticed this video will be a couple years old soon and you have videos with other scope mounted Mosins. How has this one held up over time? It looks like a good idea in theory. Is this the "low profile" or the "see through" model? I am considering this one.

  • @NatePlaysMM This is the old low-profile scope mount. It's still set up on my rifle and hasn't lost zero since I installed it. Jmeck's new modular scope mount allows you to go inline or off center with more or less the same design. I like his new one better, but the one I have has been a rock star as far as reliability.

  • @savage1r Thanks for the response...I have already contacted him about getting a mount ordered. Do you have any recommendations or links for a bent bolt? I have seen many online, including a guy named "The Boltman", but even he has 5 different style bends. Are there specific angles you need to clear this mount, or will pretty much any "bent" bolt work?

  • @NatePlaysMM I'd consult Jmeck to see what syle he thinks will work best. With certain styles, it requires an inlet be cut into the stock so the bolt handle can be put into the fully locked position, otherwise it sticks out wrong and will not fire correctly. I hear that Boltman is the guy to go with for sure.

  • i just orded a Jmeck setup, $74 but its a great idea

  • why sooo expensive, i dont remember this costing 80 bucks on ebay D:<

  • @Wabbstarful Well, it's not a POS made in china that will fall apart and costs $20. These are handmade by a guy in his shop in America and can be run over with a tank and still work.

  • @savage1r You could run a paperclip over with a tank and it will still work.. --_--

  • @BoggleDongMongerFlog You inadvertently proved my point. If it's made right, it'll work right.

  • @savage1r And you inadvertently proved mine, no one has ever ran over a paperclip with a tank have they?

  • I think Jmeck should shape it for you before he sends it, it would save half the assembly time and be more legit. Its kinda sketchy you have to bend it yourself.

  • @BoggleDongMongerFlog Well think about it, you have hex and round receivers and none are exactly the same. Also, to allow for the band you need to sand out a bit from the stock. He can't do everything for you, just make a product available that fills a need.

  • @savage1r They are all very close to the same and you could hammer out any imbalances, and I never said he should file out the gun, just put a minimum contribution toward the installation of this mount,

  • @BoggleDongMongerFlog I believe his contribution is making the mount in the first place. It would be nice if the ATI stocks automatically fit every mosin out there, but it's just not the case. I'm not going to walk down to ATI and demand they fit their stock to my rifle just because I'm unwilling to put in a few minutes of effort.

  • @savage1r i was just saying it would be a bit more legit. His not contributing a fuckin thing by making these when its two pieces of metal and a few screws, especially when he's gonna sell it for 80 bucks. Then you have to bend it yourself. Its just sketchy.

  • @BoggleDongMongerFlog If a non-drill and tap mount for $80.00 is kind of sketchy because you have to bend a piece of sheetmetal to mount it , how would you describe a $100.00 + mount where you have to drill and tap your rifle to mount it? If you were building a house would you say the lumber yard "wasn't contributing" if they didn't cut all the 2x4's to the length you needed for your build?

  • what sucks is ATI is one of very few people makes scope mounts the right way for the Mosin Nagant, when these people buy a weavers to replace the Iron sights, its just dumb, its like if you're not going to do it correct then don't do it at all, even if you use a long eye scope, its weird, just seems like the closer the scope the less of a distraction you can have with your eye. the further the higher the risk of taking your eye off the scope. I'll be getting a Jmeck for SURE!!!! great video!!!

  • I want to get one of these and put a gloss Leupold 3-9x with a German #1 reticle to keep it looking classic. How well does the mount hold zero?

  • @SlaughterOtter Holds zero fine now, but with the new Z-plate it will be impossible to bend/move unless you run it over with a truck. Then I would be more worried about your optics.

  • Can you put any scope on this mount or just that one.

  • how much did it cost you to get the band and everything??

  • @MCD361 I believe Jmeck charges $80ish for the mount, the scope was around $130-$140, I recommend getting your bolt done by the bolt man (google it) so it doesn't end up being a POS like mine.

  • I am looking at the "see through" mount so I can still use my Mojo Micro-Click peep sights. Have you had any problems, such as the mount knocking off zero? It looks solid with reviews to back it, just thought I would ask.

  • Does he have a bent bolt in the vid

  • @MrGlockaholic Technically I have a cut and screwed in bolt, but yeah, bent bolt. If you look at my new video featuring his new mount, there is no need to get a bolt job done.

  • I have used the simple green and it works wonders, I used it at full strength and it seemed to get the crap off fairly well, I think I am going to just soak the bore in that and then clean it after that!!! I will probably try to do that this weekend and I plan to refinish the stock too!!!

  • LOL, well I guess I have to retract my last message! I Watched your video on Bipodding your mosin and it seems that you realized exactly what I was saying about the barrel mounted bipod not working out so well!!! I just bought a mosin myself and love the gun, I have cleaned it once but still need to clean the bore again to get all the cozmoline out of it before I shoot it! Any suggestions as to what type of bore cleaner to use that works best to get the goop out of it?

  • @JOENOBLES7 I've heard of people sticking their actions in the oven, boiling water, I think I even heard of someone using simple green (that really nasty smelling stuff). Yeah, the barrel bi-pod made for awful shooting, sometimes the only way you learn is from experience.

  • @JOENOBLES7 Just do what I do: disassemble the rifle separating it from the stock. Take a cheap ass harbor freight heat gun and heat the action and barrel up (might wanna wear some gloves cuz that metal is gonna get nice n toasty). Then immediately after you heated the parts up blast them and down the bore with non chlorinated brake cleaner. Afterwards immediately spray on some penetrating oil like Breakfree or WD-40 to prevent flash rusting. Residual bore cosmo will get removed from shooting.

  • The whole point in floating the barrell is so that the barrell has nothing but the stock that is in minimal contact with the receiver to recoil against, when you put those type of bipods on the gun, you loose the purpose of having a floated barrell!!!! I would suggest if you are going to go through the trouble of floating the barrell, invest in a bipod that mounts the the fore stock!! not that it will affect accuracy a horrible amount, just my own personal preference!!!!!!

  • @JOENOBLES7 look at the "Bipodding the Mosin" video in my channel, that fix everything?

  • If that band can bend, it can also stretch. If that band can stretch it will need adjustment especially with the recoil of the Mosin. If it needs adjustment, sooner or later you will run out of adjustment rendering that mount useless. No I haven't tried this mount but anyone who knows something about metal properties can tell you this is so.

  • @Royalsfan55 Not having tried the mount tends to make one's opinion like anyone elses who hasn't.

  • @savage1r A bit too expensive for me to try... knowing in advance it is going to fail. If you are happy with it... great... but if your Mosin isn't a safe queen... that's not the last mount you're going to buy for that rifle.

  • @Royalsfan55 Well, you don't know it's going to fail, you're assuming it is. You know what they say about people who assume. My mosin is the number one gun I shoot the most, I have probably put 800 rounds through it since I put the mount on and have never had an issue. I think you need to re-evaluate your assumptions and base it on experience rather than conjecture.

  • @savage1r not an assumption based on conjecture. You provided the evidence of the metallurgical properties of that band. My opinion is based on physics and the evidence you provided in this video. Truth be told I wouldn't expect you to do anything but defend the mount anyway... even if it has failed you already.. good little spokesperson that you are. What's your kickback? Or are you actually JMeck?

  • @Royalsfan55 Wow, ok, so not only have I told you that my experience differs from your opinion, but another person who has experience in metallurgy has chimed in and supported what I have said. Of course I'm defending the mount, it's a good product and you have no basis on which to slam it because you have not even used it. I'm not a spokesperson, I just asked jmeck if he would like to trade one of his mounts for a video review. So there's my "kickback" for you.

  • Comment removed

  • @Royalsfan55 I happen to work with metal and have learned a few things over the years about the effects of tension and torque applied to metal. Your correct about metal stretching when enough torque or tension is applied,

what your missing is the same thing is true when it comes to screws as well. Even loctited in place they can strech

and allow parts to become loose. The thickness and width of the Jmeck band is equivalent to a 5/16ths bolt, more

than enough to get the job done.

  • @stringbikeshot You are comparing apples to oranges as alloy composition, heat treat and hardness play a major part is how a screw/bolt performs. Evidently, you have a lot more to learn about the metal you have been working with "over the years".

  • @Royalsfan55 Apples to oranges? :) Ok, A 5/16ths bolt that is grade 2 ( grade 5 is stronger and what most hardware stores sell as their bottom grade bolt) has a proof load of 55,000 psi. and a clamp load of 2162 lbs.

Even if I'm being a bit optimistic of the steel equivalence of Jmecks band, and say I'm off by 1/16th of an inch

and its more like a 1/4 inch it still has a clamp load capacity of 1577 lbs. I happen to know a little about metal property's, It's a Mosin Nagant, not a cannon.

  • @Orca40 Go for it, sounds like it could be a fun project. Way out of my skill set though, lol.

  • Mounts great on a hex, the scope base is actually shaped for the hex specifically, but it holds just fine on the rounds as well.

  • How well does it mount to a hex receiver ?

  • no, not with that mount, good idea for the yard hose , not for the scope, just too delicate, that thin metal will worp (expand) overtime from being hot and cold, from what I see so far left side mount in the best from that rifle, just the way Russians design it. But any way keep it up -good video something different.

  • @skhochay Well, speaking from experience, I've had this scope mount on my rifle for over a year and a half and have never had to touch it, I have actually swung the rifle around by the scope and had it maintain zero. The "drill and tap" mount I had on previously only lasted 60 rounds before breaking through the locktite and stripping out. It comes down to preference, if you want a "classic looking" mosin you can go with the russian syle, if you want something more modern this one works fine.

  • very poor design, look how original mosin snipers are done, well if you like it keep it ,TX from the video

  • @skhochay You speak as if you have used both and have intimate knowledge of the design. I'll get you a beer for your armchair there.

  • @savage1r no, not with that mount, good idea for the yard hose , not for the scope, just too delicate, that thin metal will worp (expand) overtime from being hot and cold, from what I see so far left side mount in the best from that rifle, just the way Russians design it. But any way keep it up -good video something different.

  • $92.50 is incredibly too expensive for something you have to bend , etc. yourself. Especially considering that the very tough Rock Solid Industries mount is only $100 for a nice billet piece of aircraft aluminum. And no bending or pounding. The price needs to come down about $35 to make it worth someone not just getting the Rock Solid mount. Just one man's opinion.

  • @AlienZygote010 Jmeck's new mount will allow for a straight bolt, stripper clip loading and can be made in aluminum. Jmeck is also a 1 man operation so he's competing with his normal job, this and rock solid to produce some pretty awesome mounts. So it's up to you which mount you go for, I just know Jmeck is a good guy with a great product and it doesn't put holes in your gun.

  • @AlienZygote010 Have you ever drilled and tapped a receiver? Do you have a drill press, vice, bits, taps, receiver tapping jig, and the skills to do it? If you do then you might want a Rock Solid mount as its only $7.50 + shipping more than a Jmeck mount. If you don't have all the tools necessary to do a drill and tap mount correctly, then the Jmeck mount is a heck of a deal. After all its much easier to bend a sheetmetal band , tap it , remove a little wood and tighten up a few screws.

  • so are these mounts compatible with a straight bolt? maybe the see-through mount would allow that? also, itd be interesting to see pics, video of the standard sight picture when using the see-through mount.

  • @otacon451 jmeck's new design will be compatible with straight bolts as well as stripper clip feeding. That video will be coming soon. I don't have the see thru mount so I cannot provide pics for that.

  • @savage1r thanks for the reply!

  • I'm assuming that this is the low profile mount and not the see through one correct?

  • @TheHexKiller Yes, this is the low profile. I recently put low profile rings on as well and with that there is a hair's breadth between the scope and the rear sight.

  • so how is it holding up?

  • @jigglejack100 As good as the day I installed it, though I'm working with jmeck on something new...something wonderful.

  • @savage1r when will this new thing be available?

  • Now, I can't tell from this video, but did the bolt action get in the way of the scope? When I assemble my scope, I don't want to have the bolt hitting the scope everytime I try to reload or get ready for another shot.

  • last time i shot mine i was 13 and now im 14 and the recoil is really nice but the gun is really heavy so im thinking of getting a new stock for it and a modern scope. do you know where to get a new stock and how much did your scope cost?

  • @hupper1234567 Well, I can tell you this, for about $15 you can get a rubber recoil pad that does a great job of eliminating most of that recoil so it's not so uncomfortable. ATI makes a synthetic stock that starts around $50 and will be a bit lighter. The scope I got cost me $120 or so at the time, but can be had for less (it's a 4-16x mil dot scope). It's important to know that if you are getting a jmeck mount that you will have to get a bolt conversion which can go for about $60.

  • @savage1r do you think that it would be better to cut off the bolt handle to angle it or to heat it up and bend it.

  • @OnlyUseMeColt I think that's beyond my skill level, but I think the guys who offer the service cut the handle and weld a new bent one on.

  • @OnlyUseMeColt weld a new one on. The stock bolt handle isn't long enough to be heated and bent and still be really usable.

  • @OnlyUseMeColt angled bolts are more of a comfort thing unless you have this big ass honker of a scope. Then again, if you have a big ass honker of a scope you use a 30-50 moa base to raise that scope up to take advantage of it. I am speaking of bolt clearance whilst cranking on the action. I wouldnt bother with it if I was you, heat treting is hard to get right, even for those who do it. Most who can use it for annealing and hardening only..

  • @savage1r Its funny because $120 is more than the gun in some cases.

  • @hupper1234567 When you were 13? And you're 14 now? Wow that was a long time ago! Don't sporterize, it's wrong.

  • @rvngizswt well im not really attached to it yet and i have only shot it like twice and it's been rotting in my grandpas house so i thought i would make it badass!

  • hi, could you tell me where i can order one? i cant find them any where. thanks, kai.

  • Not being judgmental, honestly asking, but, is it worth it to drill into it for a scope?

  • @rvngizswt Did you watch this video long enough to realize this scope mount doesn't require any holes to be drilled?

  • @millergun I guess I should have, huh? Sorry, impatient. Did this time around!

  • Yeah, I'm really interested in the mount. Where did you get it?

  • incredible video, where did you get the bi-pod? i have never seen one.

  • how sturdy is the Mount? Did it move when you shot it. I would be worried that it will move.

  • i can see that the bolt is different than the original mossin?

  • nice vid, i just payed for my mosin nagant yesterday, here in california i have to wait 10 days so im trying to find a way to mount a scope on and i think this will be the one i choose. i dont want to put my trust in some gunsmith that i dont know, he gets paid for the time he spends on the gun, not the quality of work. and im in a smaller area that isnt super big with guns, so our gun smiths dont have that much time on drilling in scope rails so thanx agn awsome mount, awsome vid

  • how would i go by buying one of these mounts

  • and were do we buy one

  • DO YOU STILL NEED TO MOVE THE BOLT

  • wat type of mosin is this

  • @bpowersman5000

those mounts end up positioning the scope several inches farther from your eye, so you have to get a scope with a larger scope relief.. a bit more pricey

  • can you use stripper clips with this scope mount?? i like how far back this sits. i want to be able to return my nagant to stock if i wanted so i was looking at scout mounts that take the rear sight mounting but the guns always look odd with the scope that far forward

  • Comment removed

  • Mention the name of the gunsmith so others don't make the same mistake. That's piss poor tapping.

  • wher do i find or get this scopr mount?

  • @thebestfisherman1 His email is in the description.

  • How do you contact jmeck, and whats his ballpark figure for the mount

  • I wear glasses, so I'll be buying a scope.

  • your so out of breath. i feel like i just ran a mile

  • so how did u get ut bolt angled down i have the reagular bolt that would get in the way if i did what u did

  • @godofmaine Your best option is to send your bolt to Max Shephard on Ebay. Look him up.

  • @huntwithairguns You're probably right, I just don't have the money atm.

  • ok thanks. is he fast at replying?

  • @SpinTheBeat360 relatively.

  • @SpinTheBeat360 Just finished mine and mounted the scope (perfect) now I just need to head to the range! He will get you the mount fast when he has them in stock it only took him about a week to make them to send out you pay he ships them fast.

GREAT!!! vid savage thanks for posting it.

  • @holymaccheese Glad you had a good experience! Jmeck is a great guy. Make sure that you fire about 10 rounds relatively quickly and let the barrel (and band) heat up and then tighten down the screws as far as you can with the alan wrench. That way it'll really stick itself to the barrel.

  • I dont know where to find this. how much does it cost and where can i buy it please let me know asap. thanks.

  • @SpinTheBeat360 Contact jmeck@carolina.rr.com

  • Great video. Where do i find this mount and do you know if it fits with the ati stock? or do i still have to dremel stuff?

  • do I still need a bent bolt?

  • @annasajerk Yes.

  • I hope the guy that makes this thing makes lots of money

  • @annasajerk Me too!

  • how much would this be if i would send it to a shop and put the mount

  • that mount does not look like it would hold very well. it doesnt look very steady. i mean is there a way you can make a video showing if it is steady or not. it looks pretty simple....and how much are they?

  • I have noticed that all the scope mounts out there always end up requiring you to ruin your bolt. I have however found a scope mount that replaces the rear sight mount on the gun and doesn't require a different bolt.

  • what scope rings did you use.? thxs

  • this is what ive been lookin for.I have an 1924 hex shoots great @100 yrds lookin to do a lot more.thxs again

  • How can i get a mount like that and how much does it cost?

  • Hate to break it to you man but your barrel is not free floated with the top part of the for end clamped to the bottom part effectively sandwiching the barrel in between it's no longer free floated and if that bi-pod is affixed to the barrel that's ruining the free float job as well.

  • @robotjoe Well, it depends. I sanded out the entire bed of the stock along the barrel so I can slide a $1 all along it, the fore end cover doesn't touch the barrel, it only connects with the bed of the stock and is held in place by the bands. I don't use the bipod because, after testing it out, it does not add anything to the accuracy (upward pressure on the barrel). So, for the most part, the barrel has as few contacts with wood as possible. Not freefloated in the truest sense, but close enough

  • i was wondering how big is the recoil? since there are different types of mosin nagants wht one has the lowest recoil?

  • @silenceimurderyou contact info is provided at the end of the video.

  • @silenceimurderyou A 12 gauge was the first gun that i ever fired and since then any kind of recoil just doesn't affect me. I have a heavier build and i can stand it. I think that the recoil is less than a 12 gauge maybe as much as a semi-auto. The ones with the lowest recoil are going to be the heaviest ones. The standard 91/30 is as long as they get (except for finnish versions i believe). If you ask me recoil in this gun is really blown out of proportion with most people.

  • mount won't work with the stock bolt right? You had to get that bent bolt.

  • @ajohnson correct, you need to get your bolt bent one way or the other.

  • @savage1r Does "on way or the other" include the sniper style bolt that's bent but sticks out a little, not flat like the one in the video?

  • @VoidDragonn Yes, you can have almost any style of bent bolt on that mount system, if you contact jmeck he will give you more details. info is at the end of the video.

  • is there any other scope mount that uses that similar technique of using that bendable plate around the barrel I just don't won't to cut away or drill anything to my rifle and I don't want to spend 80$ dollars on a scope mount i can only find on ebay

  • Cheers thanks for that , im pretty sure il get one too they look awesome

  • Hey i was just wondering if you got the Low Profile or See through scope mount?

  • @michaelf464 low profile.

  • @savage1r where u buy?

  • Hey i was just wondering if that is the see-through or Low-profile scope mount that you installed?

  • Thanks for the vid response. How is the mount working out for you?

  • @AwakeAndDangerous Solid as a rock. I can swing the gun around by my scope and it will keep zero.

  • I want to get these Jmeck scope mounts but they cost the same as the gun itself!! $70-80 is too expensive for a $100 gun. tell jmeck to bring down the price to $30.

  • @maydayfire Tell you what, look around on the net for one minute for mosin nagant scope mounts. Then call your local gunsmith and see what it will cost (per hour) to drill and tap your receiver as well as your bolt. Then, once you realize the final cost of that will be around $200-$300 not including the scope (for a POS that WILL come loose every time), come back and give Jmeck a call and see if he'll cut you a 'deal' for the product he makes with his own hands and is probably back logged.

  • ya i posted the comment before the video was done

  • where can i buy the scope and the mount for it?

  • @sardorn watch till the end of the video, contact information is listed.

  • Also, with this scope mount, the bolt doesnt interfere with just about any scope, right?

  • @maydayfire Jmeck can make versions of these that will deal with any scope/bolt combo you may have. Just let him know what you're working with and he'll make it work.
