Bummer about the Breakout. But for future reference, Knife Kits (dot com) carries the coil springs we need in various sizes. It's not a difficult thing to replace, at all.
I try not to buy knives with springs in them anymore because every one I've had has broken. Actually, I do have a Benchmade auto that hasn't, but once it does I'm pretty sure they have a policy that's similar to Kershaws, so I'll be screwed, and it's not legal to carry. All my assisted knives have broken springs...SOG, Kershaw, and after that I just stopped buying them. At least Kershaw will replace them for free, SOG charges for them. I find it odd that no one else ever has this problem? I
@wcropp1 guess it's not the end of the world as the knife is still functional, but it's a two handed opener with no detent...and they make "hard use" assisted openers? I guess they seem "tactical," but I'd rather have a well balanced manual knife any day. Just as fast in my experience with no springs to break and replace all the time. They're supposed to last 10,000 openings but I find it hard to believe considering I only owned those knives a couple months before the springs broke. I did open

Anyway, good luck with your knife bro--it seems like a real winner for the price had the spring not broken. You can buy replacement springs online if you can figure out what kind you need. It's stupid they won't send you one--they're not illegal to own or anything.

@Lookinformemarbles I did dude, they just told me that due to ever changing federal laws, they are unable to ship directly to a customers. With that said I contacted the Handtools com and they are pretty much useless. No biggie, shit happens. LOL... my EDC contains a Super Blackhawk, Cold Steel Rajah 2, and an AK74, I forgot to tell you guys that I am Duke Nukem. No, just stuff I had laying around. Thanks for watching dude!
