  • Gen X and Millennials pretty much overlap. The only difference is that Yers missed the disco era and bell bottom pants. God I miss being around Boomers and young Xers in the 70s.

  • All you Millennials better not be blaming Gen X. The oldest Xer is 45/46 (born in 1965). How many 45 year olds do you know run the country or Wall Street???

    Look straight at the Boomers.

  • @sisyphus650 Don't blame the boomers you brats. My loving 59 year old mother only cares to help people and animals, she's old enough to have had me be a generation x member if she had kids 10 years early and thus I'd be 30 instead of 20, nonetheless I have to say kids these days are disappointments.

  • Millennials and Y are the same..Get a clue lligam!

  • 9/11 really occured in 1993 when the WTCs were first attacked by these damn towel heads.

  • This is the reason why I don't buy Apple products. I DO NOT want to be associated with teeny boppers and twenty something folks. Hell no this Xer is loyal to any brand. My next phone is going to be the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. F the iphone 4s.

  • My teacher showed this in class (he gave all credited to you), but I think he set it to different music, or got a slightly altered version.

  • Ssgoku93..You need an education.

  • @TrollyMcTrollerson92 I just asked because I was born in 1981, so I am like too young for Gen X and too old to be a Millennial.

  • what about 9/11?? that had a big impact to everyone

  • What exact years are the Millenials? 1980-1991?

  • only thing i gotta say is. wii sucks..

  • Metallica and nintendo are both Gen X

  • Comment removed

  • people blame millenials for how fucked up the world is.

thing is, millenials dont have any power yet, almost none of the world leaders are millenials.

i have seen my generation work hard to fix the screw ups of humanity more than any other generation(not that other generations dont help)

my high school has a club for animl rights and a recycling club(im in both)

and if we were spoiled, wouldnt that be the fault of the previous generations?(its not because we arent spoiled)

  • Millenials are considered 1982 - 1994 correct?

  • It's not very well defined but, it's approx. the mid 70s-2000s.

  • Nope, that would be more like Generation Y.

Millenials I believe start cropping up until 1991. I don't know if the Berlin Wall or Cold War affected then directly, or perhaps it was the lack of both in their upbringing and world view.

  • @OscardelaParraE I had thought Gen Y were also called the Millennials

  • @SSJGoku93Returns

    1976-1990

  • @SSJGoku93Returns

There's no official years, but mostly 1977 - 1995, some consider anyone born before 2000 and after 1977.

  • Millenial = born 1980+. The tearing down of the Berlin wall was done by my generation NOT YOURS. You could have been no older than 8!!!! Get a grip.

  • No, YOU get a grip, chump. The Berlin Wall was torn down by GERMANS, not teen-aged Americans. The producers of this video were talking about events that shaped their world view. As a 47 year old, I can promise that mine was very much affected by Watergate, two energy crises, disco, and the Iran hostage crisis, though I didn't make them happen. You are likewise the product of yuppiedom, "Greed is Good", the Brat Pack, young Madonna ... no wonder you're such a narcissistic mess!

  • I wasn't a teen when it was torn down, CHUMP. I remember quite clearly the day it WAS torn down. I made no reference to AMERICANS other than it was MY Generation that friggin did it. SOOOOO get a grip.

  • I'm confused: you're 38, the wall came down 20 years ago, 38 minus 20 equals 18, and most people would consider an 18-year-old a "teen". Did I miss something ...?

  • this is gen y?? Who remembers the 1990 and 1991 evnts? y was in cribs! Some of this makes no sense

  • HAHA OMG!!! me and my friends are working on mr. kamps generation project right now!

  • Noobtastic richard dyer...yes i just finally watched

  • I've got to say this is a very "nice video" Thanks for the post.

  • You know how good this video is? I just saw it today as part of Marketing Research conference presentation by an expert in marketing to "Millenials." That's how good it is.

  • Please tell me where this Marketing Research conference was, who was the "expert", and if he gave us any credit or not.

  • Funny-- I used your video in the presentation discussed at a regional MRA conference and I'm a she not a he. Of course you were given credit. Your video and the fact it is posted on you tube for public consumption is a great example of your generation.

  • Well thank you for giving us the credit we deserve. We wouldn't want people stealing our hard work and passing it off as their own. I hope your conference enjoyed the video and we hope to see our video popping up in more places as long as the proper credit is there.

  • Ultimate!!!

  • A generation is always best understood through its music

  • Great Video, But you should have used music produced by your Generation

  • If it we used music produced by our Generation, it wouldn't have reflected our Generation. Artists born in our Generation wouldn't be producing until the next generation by the time they grew old enough. Therefore, we had to use music produced from the previous generation that was played and reflected our generation.

  • Well that is only partly true, Members of your generation are producing art, however you are correct that it is so heavily influenced by other Generation still, that it is not the "true" voice of Millenials, however it could have still been used, and would better reflect Millenials than Boomer and Silent generation music, but than agian who want to use Britney Spears and the like?

  • Amen.

  • let our fucking generation REALLY prevail!!!! yah great vid dude.

  • wow guys this is really good! i liked how u cover it all very well!

  • It's interesting, but not accurate. The Wall in '89 defined Gen X and Nirvana is a Gen X band. Also, Nintendo didn't revolutionize video game systems. Atari, Magnavox, Colecovision and Intellivision go back to the 1970s.

  • youre....kinda lame.. its obviously a high schooler's project... don't have to be dissin it...dick

  • amazing!
