my goodness, 1988 was a great year for me. I was friends with charlie haughey nephew...met the big man himself a few times that year. he loved his merc :) He gave me a £50 note to buy sweets one day when i was with his nephew but we bought ciggarettes instead :)

I remember the vicious dogs ad. It was a PSA commissioned be Ireland's health watchdog aimed at encouraging people to be on the lookout for signs of the rabies virus. If I'm right it ended with a once-friendly dog turning round and snarling with evil red eyes.
