Weird. I saw her moving clockwise for the longest time. Not until I clicked forward in the video did I notice her moving the other direction - immediately. Then, I clicked later in the video, again, and saw her moving the opposite direction. It seems that if I preconceive a direction, I automatically assume it will continue to do so. Say, I anticipate the figure to move counterclockwise, it will move counterclockwise, and vice versa. Very, very interesting...

It does not spin one way or the other. It wobbles back and forth. Your brain determines which way it seems to spin. If you focus more with one side of the brain then the other it will shift. Try to close your eyes and image in spinning in whatever direction you want, and then look and it will probably spin that way!

this has nothing to do with left brain right brain. if you stare at the bottom right, she will go clockwise. if you stare at the bottom left, she will go counter clockwise. it all depends where you look. I easily controlled this just by changing where I look. -______-

Here is a good trick that I found :

First, take something and cover the upper body of the ballerina. You should be able to see only her two feet. Imagine that the moving foot is a pendulum that moves only in 2D. Then, see it in 3D, going in the direction that you want. So you can ''reset'' your mind from the direction it was going and choose the direction that it goes, at the moment that the legs are crossing.

Then, uncover the upper-body of the ballerina and do the same thing.

I got it to switch. At first it was all clockwise in the beginning. Then when "counter clockwise" popped up it was still clockwise for a couple seconds and then switched. The first time I saw this, I saw it clockwise. As an experiment, I did some math and chemistry homework requiring facts, logic, observation of details for an hour and watched this video immediately after... still clockwise. If u wanna change directions as much as u want, just dont look at the image directly, use ur peripheral vision and once uve seen it change then look at it normally, if u try this u could make it change direction in every turn and make sure her pointin outside foot is totally north or south.....
