  • @redtec989 You've discovered my secret identity! ;-)

  • Soooooooo lucky. I would be fine with a G3 for crying out loud, or even a PC (shudders), just a laptop to do my schoolwork on!

  • So amazing! i think i'm going to get one :)

  • how much have you payed for the macbook ?

  • I just bought one of the latest white MacBooks for my daughter (with the new graphics chip and standard 2Mb RAM) for just over £700 (sterling).

  • 3:48 is the best part.

  • Yes, you've gotta love it!!

  • I love macbooks!

  • im getting one for x mas i cant wait

  • Thats the old Macbook, i like the new one better.

  • Me too ... except that the new one doesn't have firewire, which I need for my video camera!

  • White macbook is loads better! bottom of alu macbook wobles loads and is £300 more expensive!

  • I just bought another white MacBook, for my daughter; now with the upgraded Nvidia graphics card and standard 2Gb RAM!

  • do you have to enter and have an apple ID

  • You do not have to, but it saves you doing it later if you do it during the first boot.

  • i am ganna get a macbook and i cant wait!!!

  • Just a quick question. Does it always take that long to turn on or does it speed up afterwards?

  • No, it's just the first ever boot that takes a longer time. Normally about 30-40 seconds.

  • Thanks. Oh, and does it come out of the box with a full battery or should I leave it to charge?

  • Mine arrived half charged. Just plug in the power and carry out the first boot, then leave it to charge up fully and away you go!

  • Thanks a lot. Can't wait to get mine at Christmas!

  • Hi,

I already own an Imac, but have had it for a year and forgotten about the first time you start it up and the options you have to select. im buying a macbook soon, and I was wondering when you get to the wireless service option, what should I select? I have a wireless router. The router does have a password, but when I connected my PSP to the net for the 1st time I didn't have to put in a password. Do I have to when I set up my mac for the first time?

  • Hi. As I recall it was pretty straight forward. My MacBook found my wireless network during initial start-up and asked if I wanted to join it. I said "yes" and it asked me for the password. Typed it in and that was that!

  • brilant video! 5/5

  • Hi. I've just finished my Ph.D in maths, and now I don't need a Windows machine as badly as before, so I was thinking to get a MacBook.

I know there are Mac versions of Mapple and Mathematica, so I suppose I'll be fine.

Just one question... does anybody know if the GNU C Compiler (gcc for short) can be used with Mac Os X??? If so, I'll be a more than happy Mac user.

    Thx in advance ^_^

  • He sounds a lot like ashens......Do you like this computer, I'm thinking about getting one for college, and I need a second opinion.

  • This was my first Mac and I just like it more and more the longer I use it and the more familiar I become with it. I am happy to recommend it; I'm sure it would be an excellent machine for college. In fact I have just bought a second-hand black MacBook for my son for school, which complements his Mac Mini nicely!

  • Great video! One question with the wireless service, im using a pc now with a dsl modem.

Can i just plug the ethernet port into the mac and just not use wireless.?

And Do i need to purchase the airport base to get wireless?? Thanks

  • Yes, you can just plug your ethernet cable into the port on the left side of the MacBook, and not use wireless (switching off wireless reduces battery use too!). You don't need an airport base station; any wireless router should work fine - I use a Belkin 54g.

  • i want one :(

  • Save up and get one - you won't regret it! ; )

  • yeah i dont think anyone will regret getting one of those

  • Nice video.

  • does the macbook also come with the remote or do u have to buy it seperately ??

  • Remote used to come with the MacBook, but you now have to buy it separately (at least in the UK). It's cheaper with the MacBook Air, and free with an iMac!

  • yea that's what i thought well thank you !!

  • LEOPARD IS SO BETTER DESIGN

  • they should film the glad faces with the inbuilt camera during the first boot...would make a good advertisement^^ and fun for the user to watch his own eyes glow...

  • congrats! macs are simply the best

  • can't wait to get the new Santa rosa white macbook

  • good to see a brittish macbook :)
