No it pretty much is a fact....

They take a tune designed to be played through a 3 synth sound-chip & recreate it using loud electric guitars......hence tuning it into a crescendo of noise...

Kraid's theme is no where near as good as Ridley's theme. I actually like this.

@ProtestantsRUs Ridley doesn't really have a theme, it's just the general boss theme. It later becomes the "Ridley theme" in Metroid Prime, if I recall correctly. I could be completely wrong though, I haven't played Super Metroid in ages, haha.

@SeraphCutie the Ridley theme as we know it became the so called "Ridley theme" in Super Metroid 3 and has been the same seems then. Remixed and revamped from game to game to keep up2date.

Ridley had a totally different theme back in 1986 (or 85 ... just quite not sure) ---> That's how I remember things.

I could be wrong but ... let's say I'm not :)
