hey thaanks i read this and im getting windows version but is everything the same as the linux version but just the sd card? cos im getting a windows one and i wanna upgreade the sd card

If you just want to do basic stuff like email, web browsing and office then the easy mode is fine, if you are a Linux geek (which I am not!) then you can enable the full desktop for more advanced features.
There are two versions of the Eeepc 900 each have 2 solid state drives instead of conventional hard drives.
The Linux version has a 4GB operating system drive and a 16GB extra drive totalling 20GB in all.
The Windows version also has a 4GB operating system drive but to enable them to sell it at the same price with the Windows XP license it has a smaller 8GB extra drive.
More storage can be added via SD or SDHC cards or USB thumb drives as well.
