From a male perspective, I find it more amazing that you are a female on PoF who isn't morbidly obese and desperate. If it makes you feel any better, PoF is far more of a nightmare for a guy. You girls (the attractive ones, anyway) need only sit back and let the messages roll on in, choosing the good from the bad. Even the best written message by a decent guy results in a no-respond rate of some 90%, and the messages we do get? Obese, desperate girls who throw themselves at you. NOT kidding.

I was lucky. I met my current GF on POF and we've been dating for just over 4.5 years. She's great, low maintenance, careful with money, good job, good money and doesn't nag. She's perfect for me since we're just like each other. It is a real crap shoot and the odds are terrible if you are a guy. I've had countless unread deleted messages. A lot of the girls on there are high maintenance types with unrealistic expectations. I suspect they go on there just to get their ego stroked. Good luck!
