  • I want to thank you for explaining that these baby squirrels were cared for up to this time by a licenced rehabber in your area. That you went to the trouble to see this through says allot about your heart in this matter. I then just hoped to help correct the diet issue that causes Metabolic Bone Disease, and share about the benefits of a later release, over the early one that you were told to do by that rehabber. Again, thank you for your reply.

  • When we found the babies, we called the State of MA to find out what we should do. They referred a certified wildlife rehab person. She raised them to the point when they could be released back into our yard- which is when I started video tapping them. The have all made it, and we now have a new set of babies in our yard (we can tell by their tails) so the squirrels must like it here. It is great you were concerned, but maybe you should not have jumped to conclusions.
