  • Hi getaltitude

I have just been watching your video and I must admit it really is very good.

    I really enjoyed watching it.

Already looking forward to more of the same in the future.

    Cheers to your success.

  • Nice. I've heard this same concept from Brad Fallon of Stompernet. I think Eben was interviewing him actually.

  • Eben is very, very sharp.

Known to be a true leader among some of my mentors.

  • speed of implementation.. what if it's a bad idea? should you speedily implement that?

don't take time to consider what kind of idea it is?

  • Sure, why not. If you implement it speedily you know much faster if it is a bad idea ;)

  • LOL!

I'm just weary of authority figures who want you to do everything they say without thinking. Some of these gurus offer such shit-poor advice you've got to watch your step.

Pagan/deangelo is notorious for telling people (a few years ago) to do way more "cocky and funny" than is necessary for any healthy interaction.

He kept telling people that because it was a good marketing focal point, and he only stopped when reports started coming in of disastrous fuck-ups due to too much C&F.

  • Re "Disasters"

People who can BE Cocky and Funny as an embodiment do have consistent success with it. And if a few recipients don't respond to it, these guys aren't running to cry to others about "disasters."

Millions of new people "using" Cocky-Funny as a slapped-on 'technique' WILL manifest a fair number 'screw up stories." BLAMING C&F for that is stupid, the practitioner is just being stupid, right?

YMMV - C&F can be fun & help anyone form a new vision of their socializing ability. JK

  • Yes.

By finding out EARLY that it is in fact a bad idea is better than investing tons of money and wasting even more time and money.

  • How about thinking before you act and not implementing bad ideas at all? Oh wait, that's a no go. You must blindly do whatever your guru tells you.

  • Too much thinking is one of the top reasons lots of great business ideas never get implemented.

You NEVER KNOW how the market will respond. You simply can't without doing trial runs.

Speed of implementation doesnt mean throwing all your best resources into an untested idea. It means getting into action fast, getting the ball rolling, and getting immediate useful feedback.

Eben covers this at length during the program, which I suspect you have not watched (based on reading your comments).

  • I watched part of it.

Your message contains a lot of business rhetoric. You sound like the sort of person who tows the line instead of thinking for himself.

Eben writes from a self-help perspective. A lot of self-help advice comes from a place of wanting to get inactive people to do things. Therefore there's a lot of focus on just do anything, quickly, right now.

Then you get a lot of bad, hasty decisions.

Just ask anyone who's gone out and "cocky and funny"'d his way to failure.

  • very very nice...

pagan is sharp, a brilliant business mind.

    thx for the video,

    brian
