The round ones?? they are called "Kombu". They have been around for at least 1500 years.

@binoyrakesh oh yeah?? ur knowledge on history is so lame! Kombu has been around more than 5k years. It is recorded by Puranas the playing of such intruments for Lord Sri Krsna.
