Well there's only a few moves that are strong enough worth mentioning, so the theory is what should be played in the position. It's a game of theory and logic, just because it's logical and boring, doesn't make it a bad game. It's just a test of your power to analyze position and outcome.

Quite an ignorant statement. Look through some of Anand's games where his opponent doesn't play for draws out of the opening and you'll realise he's anything but "boring".
