using that much of explosive for an area like that would mean that you would have to for the areas above to get the same depth and if you damned 2 houses 15km away at that so that means you would have for the ones above causing more damage, the quarry would get and investigation and you would be told to use less explosive, by the looks of things there have been a lot of blasts so i very much doubt you haves used ...
This is not 700 tons or tonnes. Most probably 700 pounds or perhaps 700kg.
"Shattered two houses windows 15km away", while barely wobbling the camera under 100m away?
According to the uploader's other videos, he was 17 years old at the time this video was uploaded, while he "was working at this site", so I'm pretty dubious of what he claims. Maybe someone gave him this video and told him it was 700 tons as a joke.
@asteroceras The camera is mounted (cool invention huh? ), there is no indication of distance, your claim of 'less than 100m' is a loose a claim as saying you know how big the wall face is and how heavy and deep the explosives were.
Maybe 700 tons was a bit much so 400 tons of ANFO in a different blast pattern would have sufficed for that cast shot, especially if you broke windows 15km away. When didnt they also blast the lower bench at the same time?
Holy-Terrorist:>*=* Look a paradox, User Jimmison007 published this video 700 Tonnes of Explosives, 007 =/= 700 are the inverse paradox, are the primary paradox comment be me to speak you, secondary paradox are other stuff!

@orilionn Learn how to spell numb nuts. You suck and Europe licks sweaty nuts. I really dont give a crap about you and your fellow assholes over there, soon enough you will start killing eachother again and I just hope we are smart enough to stay out of it since you people do nothing but trash us. Fuck off.
@orilionn What ever you say ass wipe.Maybe you should look at someones channel before you go assuming they are a child? You are most likely the whiny teen ass that blames the US for everything so piss off.
@shadowr434 no1 put me in my place u fucking moron, ready my very 1st post, kinda final u wanker, keep talkin as now u look like a right fucking american idiot, troll,
@orilionn umm, and how would you do it? put people there digging so if a collapse happens they get killed...... Its the American SMART, EFFICIENT way.
@orilionn Its actually the most cost effective way of liberating and crushing rock. As a result, its standard practice world wide to anyone who has access to ANFO and a good amount of material to get at. This particular shot probably moved anywhere between 70,000 and 100,000 tons in under 5 seconds. Real lazy right? Ignorant prick.
@translucentorb bit slow on the reply moron, check the date stamp b4 u chime in and try to troll, also read what i said as u missed my point completely, theres nothing left to say after u understand so pipe down.
As most have been saying, no way that's 700t... I've seen shots 2 kilometers long on a 50m wide bench with 20m deep holes (4 million bcm) use over 2000 tonnes of explosive (0.5 powder factor). No way this shot is even close to being a third of the size of that...
In any case, I hope someone copped a pineapple for all the coal that was lost as it was cast into the pit...
the powder factor we use is about 0.4, ie 400 kg of explosive breaks about 1000 tonne of rock. so if this blast was roughly 25 wide by 25 high by 200m long there be about 94000 cubic metres of rock in it, at an sg of 2.8 this would give about 260000 tonnes. so dividing 260000 tonnes by 1000 tonnes yields 260 lots of 400 kg of explosives. giving 104000 kg of explosives or 104 tonnes, depending on the blast size this could be of the order of 700 tonnes of bomb
yeah 700tonnes at this mine and about 800kgs at this explosion its only a 100meter or so rock face 700tonnes wud over flow two of them massive quarry dumper trucks and take about 2 years to set up ,the chages are pringle tube sized an weight a few kilos and several hundred are used not 150000 odd thousand like 700 tonnes wub be .
@TheCraigy83 And your experience in blasting would be??? With anfo as the agent i would say 700 ton is about right for the size of shot. Anyone using sticks on a shot this size would be nuts. Multiple drills and several trucks loading could pull this shot off in a rather short timeframe, a matter of weeks.

Lolz at 700 tonnes. I think we are using 10t of explosives to 27500t of rock. The most we'll use onsite is around 40t of explosive ANFO.
