  • i have no words for these people. they are doing an incredible job out of pure wish to help people in need. it's a proof of selflessness that i find amazing. when you already give up on so many things just to go to med school, work your a** off - you expect as a compensating factor to have a decent payed job in a decent hospital where you can run all the tests you need. but they go there because what matters in the end is saving people. that is what real medicine is!

  • It's amazing how some people will risk their life to save someone elses.

  • I just got accepted into medschool! MSF HERE I COME!

  • I know what I want to do, and have for many, many years.

When I finish my Bachelor of science, it's straight to med school.

I also learned French, party because I knew it is an asset if I wish to join this organization (which I do).

They do amazing, albeit heartbreaking work.

  • OMG, Im going to have nightmares from now on because of 0:45. Thats terrible!

  • Now I feel like shit for opting to study dentistry instead of medicine....

  • I will do this. I will work hard to develop the skills to help people like this. Wish me luck :)

  • Doesn't show the guys who have to go in and get you out when shit goes downhill.

  • I'm currently in my first year in medical school, my future is with MSF.

  • @yaffina : Oh wow, you must have worked so hard! I really hope you get there. Good luck ♥

  • @xoxoRiverTamxoxo thank you so much!

  • this is why i'm in the library eight hours a day then doing flashcards when my friends are out drinking

  • @Zippy1357 me too :)

  • @Zippy1357 its gonna pay off :)

  • Les admiro! Que grqan trabajo realizan! Deberiamos aprender todos, todos podemos aportar nuestro granito de arena en la ayuda humanitaria!

  • I've seen this documentary in full length and it's great in the context that it is very insightful and shows what the doctors and nurses go through on a day to day basis. I just watched it a week or two ago b/c MSF was having a weekend where you could pay to view it online. I don't know if that option is or isn't available right now. I'd check the website.

  • where can I watch this? I dont mind paying

  • me too...i want to be and do this... but i still have a few years of med school... it's interesting, but when you say this outlaud, people don't understand you...

  • @izslovenije - In my years working in hospitals (I was a typist), it was my absolute privilege to know some doctors who have joined MSF. You're right. So many people just can't understand why they would want to give up a prestigious position in a state-of-the-art facility in a western country and go to these camps. The answer is "Because that is where the greatest need lies." May God bless and keep all of you safe in your journies.

  • this is a really really bad trailer, who ever cut that should be fired. I still want to see it.

  • this organization is so inspirational, i decided this is what i wanted to do even before i entered medschool! kudos to all u ppl out there..

  • why cant dentist go to msf???

does any1 know anyhting like msf that lets dentist go??

  • @ViolentFactor1928 Four dentists went with the recent Cedars-Sinai HELPS mission to Guatemala. My personal dentist says there are similar dental missions.

  • @ViolentFactor1928 because its called "doctors without borders" DOCTORS!!!

  • @ViolentFactor1928 There's individual places that support or encourage dentists to go. Contact the Jubilee House Community if you're interested. They're located in Nicaragua and help run a small clinic with a dental unit in it. Just punch that into google or facebook and see what you can do with it if you're ready to go. I did some work with them last January and I'm doing some stuff again in March.

  • @ViolentFactor1928 There is a lot of misunderstanding here: Almost any profession can be utilized by MSF - NOT ONLY DOCTORS!. In fact, doctors are a scarce minority among those brave young people operating in the field. You, as a dentist, would be VERY desirable. Google out and contact your MSF cell, even tomorrow. (althoght you probably have done it already:-) )

  • torrent anyone?

  • amazing kind brave selfless intelligent people

  • May God bless all these people

  • SmithGurl1208 All the best... I'm a medical student too from Indonesia.. and I've always admired doctors like those in MSF for their bravery and dedication. I hope that I may be able to be part of that someday. I pray that I'm given the courage and the motivation. Guess time will only tell. Its always nice to know fellow medical students with the same thoughts =)

  • Doctors without borders. Here is what we can do. Patterns all depicted. Thank you! Did you know that you can be a doctor without an original education? There are programs you can buy to learn this. Not so much money. It is a matter of what you want to help, life or death. With nurses so ready to help you...you walk right in to any nation and have your job cut out for all. And this is a very rewarding investigative work as well. It makes you feel good. And it just isn't Nazi education either.

  • @enjoixander Hello, how can you be a doctor without an original education? please contact me with your reply. Thanks! ~God Bless~

  • This is so important. This is what life truly is about. My heart goes out to these brave souls and i hope that this documentation will get all the attention it deserves and open some eyes.

  • god bless this brave souls!!!! wish i am there...

  • Oh my goodness...this is where I want to go; this is what I want to do. God bless the MSF and the people who donate to them. O.O

I only pray that becoming a doctor and going out their, that my skills can aide in the bettering of people's lives.

  • good luck on that

    great video

  • Thanks! ^_^

  • @SmithGurl1208 This is why I am studying to become a doctor.

  • @SmithGurl1208 i too wanted to become one of these people. nurse anyway. i think that there amazing. god bless them

  • @chessnuts101 Nursing is wonderful, too! :) Any help is appreciated, I am sure. God bless.

  • @SmithGurl1208 Me too! :)

  • @Btelgeuse It's wonderful to meet others who want to help. God bless! :)

  • @SmithGurl1208 Thanks! ;-)

  • @SmithGurl1208 would be nice if you learned to spell first

  • @LordOftheMind Learn to spell what?

  • @SmithGurl1208

I just watched this documentary last night. I am a Christian who wants to do medical missions full time. (I was just accepted to medical school) After you watch this I think it will depress you. The people in this film are for the most part all non-believers and are very dysfunctional and I felt very sad for them. They seem to be jaded, with no hope and are working with MSF to escape their demons. (not literal demons)...continued

  • @boomtastic67

I worked at a missionary hospital in Congo for a summer and their was a definite difference. The doctors were much happier - not that everything was perfect- and the whole attitude of their work was so much better. I would definitely check out missionary medical work before doing MSF. Their (missionary's) approach and goal in helping people is much different and frankly, more effective. I really felt bad for the MSF doctors in this film. : (
