i sang this song in my fifth grade play. I remember i played a striker and i ahd only one line so every time we performed, like two times, i changed where i said it from to make things interesting.

I drove my classmates crazy. But we all enjoyed singing this song. Especially sing none of us could sing worth a damn.

But we sounded all right all together.

I've loved this movie since it came out. I don't even really like musicals that much, but this one is totally awesome, and I don't get why people hate on it so much. Seriously, almost everyone I know who's seen it doesn't like it at all, and I don't see how that's possible.

When I was little and I watched this movie with my friends there was always the banter of 'No, I'm gonna marry Jack' and "David is the cutest newsies EVER'. I even had a friend crushing on Crutchy ( too be fair, everybody loves that guy), but I could never get into the playful arguing because I wanted to marry Brooklyn. Yes, I know his name is Spot Conlon, but I did, and still do, call him Brooklyn. Ah, memories. Our love was a pure love, of course, until my friends and I got into boy bands.haha

This came out when I was 8. Never heard of it though I was a big fan of Disney-as was everyone my age with all the Disney masterpieces that came out during my childhood. Where was this? Kenny Ortega (High School Musicals, etc.) A movie completely underrated despite great performances by a young Christian Bale, Anne-Margaret, Bill Pullman, and Robert Duvall. First saw it as a freshman in college having a Disney night with some others. 18! I could have been enjoying it for 10 years before!
