  • To the builder:

I am having way too much trouble getting it to start. I adjust and adjust the cylinder but it never seems to reach a magical place where the gears "spin freely". The guide also gives no instruction, it just says to adjust the screws until you get it.

What height are you putting the screws at? How wide should the spacing between the two brass pieces that contain the spring be?

    Thanks

  • y encima gastos de nvio 26-35 euros a españa por un pedido superior a 100

  • How is it possible to let this drive? I mean, as soon as you take it of the stand you can't heat the glass cylinder anymore. Am I missing something?

  • you should make it charge a battery and then flick a switch and it will light up a L.E.D.

  • As long as you are trying and looking, you may discover something new. Every application seems to have some benefit that the others dont. Think of all the people who are new to this! Do they want a confusing display early on?

  • you get more light from the flame

  • so much hate.

  • just make a amv :p

  • again, how many lights do you have XD *tick, tick, tick, tick, tick"

  • xdxd thats awesome, but a solar panel would be more effective

  • what is this?

  • Cool

    How does it work though?

    Grey stuff in the tube?

    How much 2 buy???

    Great though

  • Give it a wurll arround the house it will fly off and burn the house down wih its candle. lol

  • no, and the 11 people who thumbed you up are clueless

  • id use mine as a desk ornament lol it be cool

  • yeah think it lights up the blb lol...its a pretty cool thng to have :)

  • their just cool nad demonstrates different stuff their pretty neat to just play with

  • they are used in space

  • My physics teacher told me some time ago that these stirling engnes are used at power plants, which have a big head output, so one can use the heat that would normally go through the chimney to produce electricity.

  • every stirling engine needs a source of heat/cold,

    he's just supplying the heat

  • so.............the heat he's talking about is "fuel" which isn't really fuel.

  • your an idiot

  • look who's talking.

  • i know that they require heat i just didn't know he meant that heat was the "fuel". why are you such an asshole? do you actually have any friends in real life? as for my virginity, i'm only 15 jack ass and i've never met anyone in my whole life who expects every 15 year old to have had sex already.

  • i just read that comment and the funniest thing is he's probably a virgin! :)

  • I wanna see a test video!

  • pay $120 for something that waste fuel and make an LED barely flcker. I mean its cheaper to just by a breadboard a 555timer and a LED, and its brighter X D

  • useless

  • Cool, for $119.99 US you get a model that will make a LED flicker.

  • Flicker? So it ALMOST produces 1.5 volts?

  • It moves too

  • Actually they didn't even give you an LED , its an old filament bulb

  • Respond to this video... well that ius on some of the other versions if this engine

  • It's from make magezine it must be possible^^

  • impossible

  • That's great, you can use a candle to power an engine which generates electricity which in turn powers an LED which emits light....Kind of like a solar powered torch. =P

  • course*

  • how many light switches do u have? lol

  • six

  • lol ! I must invest !

  • Wow everyone this is amazing! I absolutely loved it! The video was clear and very interesting! It was awesome! :)

  • GREAT MODEL

  • I don't understand what the BIG deal is about being first.

  • just spam them!

  • nice

  • pretty nice!!

  • Youre proud now? Whats the point for being the first comment on a video? Idot...
