That's a totally different situation. Obama's church isn't a "black supremacy" church, though it does tackle issues of racism as any church should. And on top of that, Obama has continually said that he DOES NOT agree with his pastor's statements. So there's really no issue here.

When you vote present, you can suggest changes to a bill that is less than perfect, if it is almost good enough to pass but not quite. Then once the bill is changed you can support it. I voted for Obama! Early could not vote caucus because I would have to go to my precinct which is in another county. This does not make since Texas done away with paper ballets. Lets have anyone who has a residence in Texas vote anywhere in Texas. All you have to do is a software upgrade. and people who live in 2 Counties can have the vote properly counted. He made it a campaign promise no less, that he would do it differently. And then when he got into office, he followed through. He de-escalated Iraq, he ramped up Afghanistan in terms of army and intelligence, and he put the pressure on to get No.1. And the SEALS did of course, what's ur point?

But when he had the chance to vote on the Iran resolution when he was a senator, he high-tailed it out of town to campaign even though he was there for the previous vote that morning he was too scared to stick around for 30 minutes to vote on something that could hurt him politically,just like all those times he voted present in Chicago, Obama's nothing but talk and no action.

He actually was a senator when he spoke out against the war. He VOTED against it. And voting present doesn't equal "ducking" an issue. When you vote present, you can suggest changes to a bill that is less than perfect, if it is almost good enough to pass but not quite. Then once the bill is changed you can support it. That's how it works.

Firstly, I have a HUGE amount of respect for Nader, however, this November, don't split the vote. The problem for the Democrats is that right wingers ALL rally around the republican party no matter what (although McCain has ruffled feathers they will support him in November). Left wingers are less unified and Nader splits their vote. If you want McCain to win vote Nader. If you want a president who looks to the future, vote Obama. The World is holding its breath.

I love Obama. And let's face it - as long as religious fanatics control the human race - we can't have the leader of the United States traveling over to the middle east and not being allowed to shake the hand of the leaders and having to wear a silly costume on her head! Havimg 1 precinct and living just in 1 precinct is so 19th century. We have evolved since then and should be able to have a primary and secondary voting precinct. With so many people commuting. Of course paper ballets would remain, unchanged.

Say I live in Fort Bend Sugarland I work in Harris Houston. I am effected by 2 mayors, don't you think I should choose 2 mayors. With a intergrated e-slate which can pull your home and work address from the Texas Voter Rolls can sort it out so you can vote for both precints. College Students that learn and San Marcos and live in San Antonio, they can elect San Marcos Trustees and NEISD, SAISD, etc. The time has come, people commute like it or not. Shouldn't the polls be 21st Century.

I did not say anything about pen and paper, but pen and paper won't be able to combine counties, just like you have to vote at your own precinct with paper ballots. (if you are addr is on the westside you have to vote on the westside) This is not being fair to people who go to school in San Marcos and live in San Antonio, or work in Houston and live in Mo City or Sugarland. You should be able to vote where you live and work. Having the option to have vote 2 precincts.

The people who live in the county you go to school have to pay taxes for that school. Why should you be able to vote there? If that where the case everyone who goes to school there would vote to raise the school's budget all the time because they want a better school but they dont have to pay for it. if you want a say in the county you go to school in, move there.

Then what about Mayors? Or how about a business tax I am opposed to? I thought voting not moving changed things. It has nothing to do with property tax. My address on my voters registrations is a friends house, I don't live there or pay taxes there. Wait a minute I pay sales tax and books are taxable. Part of state and telephone taxes (USF) go to schools. I am not getting your point.

If you live in another state I definitely dont want you voting in my elections. Youll vote for super low sales taxes so that you dont have to pay them when you go to school and then my state will suffer for it and youll be gone in a few years.

I voted for Obama! Early could not vote caucus because I would have to go to my precinct which is in another county. This does not make since Texas done away with paper ballets. Lets have anyone who has a residence in Texas vote anywhere in Texas. All you have to do is a software upgrade. and people who live in 2 Counties can have the vote properly counted. Like work in Harris and live in Fort Bend. Revise the system where you can vote in both counties. We have the technology.
