  • Great matchup here

  • Good matchup, but I don't like valentine/beefcake taking the face role. There shoulda been much more rulebreaking and much more manager interference. Luscious John was virtually non existant. I h8 when heels fight and 1 MUST b the good guy. Let them b who the he'll they r.

  • pretty cool and rare type of match. it's nice seeing a match like this from the 80's when they were incredibly rare.

  • Wow, The Iron Sheik threw a dropkick. I think this is the only time I've seen that

  • Only thing I don't like about this match is the fact that you can tell Gorilla broadcasted this after the fact, instead of live from the arena.

    Also, where is Freddie Blassie?

How come, whenever there's a heel vs. heel match, only ONE team's manager is in attendance? lol

  • @TrueTalkTV Reason why is because it's a dark match and this was never shown on TV, so there wouldn't be any commentary from Jesse & Vince.

  • beefcake and valentine were fan favorites in this one

  • Wow. I've seen just about every '80s WWF match and still didn't know it existed! Thanks for posting this very rare heel-v-heel matchup!

  • I think the WWF had some 8 tagteam tournaments around this time at house shows. Plenty of heel vs heel and face vs face matches. Id love to get ahold of some of those matches

  • It would have been interesting to see Volkoff ^ Sheik as champions again.

  • I do remember this match

and yes it was before wm2

    valentine and beafcake won

  • sheik n volkoff would be hated more because of their nationalities. this country breeds the most racist, most bigotry, and the unfairest. but aint nothin more beautiful than watchin bad guys go at it in the wwf/wwe. especially during the 80's

  • Looks like a non-TV match that had commentary added later

  • It was, this never aired on TV.

  • Heel vrs Heel, Cant be sure if it was this match ... but I had a WWF magazine that reviewed this match and was titled " Cheers instead of Jeers for Greg & Brutus " ... I cant beleive I'm finally watching this 23 or so years later !! GO YOUTUBE !! and thanks for posting :-)

  • HAHA!! I got that magazine too! i think that was the one with jesse the body on the front, and he's posing in different outfits inside...

  • Valentine and Beefcake were onetime faces as a tag team? Or is this a rare heel versus heel?

  • heel vs heel but i think the sheik and volkoff were hated more

  • @FranklyMisterShankly they were a tag team at one time.

  • @FranklyMisterShankly Valentine and Beefcakes were still heels here. But this was a rare heel vs. heel match and Valentine and Beefcake were considered the lesser of two evils, which is why they got the cheers in this match. I guess the fans thinking were "They may be assholes, but atleast their American." This was in the mid 80s during the cold war and the days of the Iotoyla. Their was no way anybdoy was going to cheer the Sheik and Volkoff.

  • Never seen this one. Obviously, it took place before WM2. I wonder if there were any rematches.

  • GREAT MATCH

  • I would say this type of match was very rare for the time

  • Rare heel vs heel?

  • Greg!!!! Pull da car ober. Moolah, git da fuk out da car!!!
