why does it have to be a "minority character". Persoanlly i dont think race is the issue. Focus on the characters that already exist.  What happened to Bob and Lee? Their story is getting lame. Katherine's story.... powerful story about a battered woman who overcame a lot to no story in season 5 to crazy in season 6 to lesbian???? Come on!!! The writing sucks. I loved lynette's mom (polly bergen) bring her back!!!!

I agree with you as well Wendy, but I feel that what needs to happen is that Marc Cherry needs to create an Asian-American character. It's time for tv shows to have more opportunities for Asian-American actors. There has only been one who was Carlos & Gaby's maid/surrogate who was barely in the show. I feel that it would be fantastic for the show if next season he brought out two new housewives both of color and also to try and not make them so stereotypical. What do you guys think?

@jn8pnoi Well Marc Cherry is an evil desperate gay. I hated his black and asian stereotypes in the series. Now he has bigger fish to fry when he hit Nicolette Sheridan on the set! Good she finally filed a lawsuit. I knew there was something wrong with him

When you find the RayJ show to be a good show and then complain about black stereotypes then there is definitely something wrong in the way you think... But I do agree that you don't have to throw in an african american just for the sake of having one...

I think you are talking about a different "Ray J show", and i would agree with you if we were talking about that other show. However, the new show is about a black family, black entrepreneurship and taking control of your finances so that you don't go from riches to rags. All-around great role-modelling and visibility of positive, blacks on TV.

i think this would be a great role for Sanaa Lathan with a return to TV for Jackee Harry as her mother. I agree with Wendy though - it has to be done right with well-rounded, real characters and good story line integration with the rest of the cast. Jackee would be great on that show...i think she would really bring something vital to the show.
