  • Hi, I think you are using too much weight when you are doing your bicep curls. You should do 10 pounds instead of 20 otherwise you start cheating, but you still look great.

    That machines for an ab workout.

    You're supposed to pull it down until the pad is touching your back and head, then do a sit up motion without using your arms for anything other then holding it against your back.

    The way you're doing it is working your biceps and lats...

  • Incredible! Go a little slower on your curls and squeeze at the top, letting them down slowly. For your tris, let the rope up a little higher, then come down and out at a 45 then pause, let up slowly. You are consistant this is most important. Keep doing different movements every other week so your muscles dont get used to routine. You really want to hit all the areas, deep tissue and outer muscle for high peaks and muscle serration. Keep up the great work, darling:) LOL

    form is there for a reason

    i did hex bar out of form before and did something strange to my lower back

    some people try to life high to impress people and hurt them self .. so i dont really agree with that alex body builder dude

    BUT HES THE PRO NOT ME

  • Why do people live and breath form?! When lifting all you need to worry about is injury prevention and making the work out hurt. German bodybuilder Alex (I forget the last name) said form was holdig him back because you usually have to get a lower weight to do the exercise the so called "right way". He traded form for weight and got the results he wanted. All form does is isolate the muscles. Adding more muscles to a workout can only benefit that workout and increase your power.

  • And when you break form, you get things called MSD, musculo-skeletal-disorder. Form is extremely important and it's not something to be trivialized in anyway.

  • Notice I did say that injury prevention is important. While this involves some form, like avoiding using your back during squats or arching your back during a bench press, form should not dictate and limit your workout. If you want to get strong, you lift like you would during a real life situation, not like a robot. And risk is always involved in working out, you just have to know your capabilities. If you get a litte extra help from other muscles in the workout, so what, they just get stronger

  • bringing the knees back so far on the leg press with such a wide stance hits the hams (bicep) and lower back a little more than I prefer. Try leaning up against a wall with those curls and try to keep yer elbows from moving back--hold the static portion of the rep for a momentary stretch and then continue with little or no momentum--this will help with the criticism of your "form" and it will also maximize your workouts. Nice abs BTW!

  • There are a some things that the criticism of Jen consistently fails to consider. Foremost is I don't think most people realize what a relatively short time Jen has been working towards this physique. She's accomplished a GREAT deal in a span of time which most would not have accomplished half as much. Now as to whether she looks "good" or not, the only opinion there that truly matters is Jen's. As long as she loves herself, what does anyone else's opinion count?

    A tip, work your shoulders, because your body has a straight down shape if you broaden out your shoulders you get a v shape, not that it is manly looking, but it will accentuate your hips more...unless you don't want to be curvier looking

For example: Up at 7am Workout for 1.5 hours 9am: What you usually have for breakfast 9:30 Cardio 10:30am Snack, if any 12 noon Lunch, what you might have on a normal day. 2:30pm Snack 6pm Typical dinner, and so on.
