I know what you mean about how exciting it is to fish this way. It literally took a month of Sundays before I became confident in my technique, but now that I feel I've gotten some casts down, I can't imagine getting as excited about fly fishing as when I throw a four-inch fly eighty feet with heavy cover behind me. Hooking up on the swing has its perks too :) Thanks for posting.
