It's always safe to show file extensions and show protected operating system files - look at the extension .vbs (Visual Basic Script)

I'm glad you didn't show the rest of that notepad document when you clicked "edit" because many people that understand vbs scripts and computer commands through extensions with notepad could copy all that into their notepad, save it, and send it through email or post it online. I know a lot about this kind of stuff, but I haven't and never will create a virus through it.

BTW I'm from the same school as the guy who created the virus so i'm quite sure what really happened. He actually became a legend in our school because of that.
