  • what a piece of shit didn't like this? must be an ape

  • I've been listening to all the scores from this film- and I officially can't pick a favourite. They're all equally brilliant, and they capture their intended scenes perfectly.

This is real talent to compose this music.

  • Nick Cave & Warren at their best, they dont need oscars, they just have to keep producing music like this!

  • Amen, man! Amen!! :)

  • léger et mélancolique à la fois,un savant mélange de ce qu'est le charme de cette musique..

  • "léger et mélancolique", en effet, très exacte ... (je m'excuse pour mon français, je ne suis pas une française, mais flandrienne)

  • And wheres's the Oscar for Cave and Ellis?

  • To be nominated for best music (original score) or (original song), it must be composed by one person. Otherwise would this soundtrack probably take what could be taken at the oscars...

  • oh yeah? and what about the score to Gladiator? it was composed by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard and it got a nomination.

  • @mkrzynecki Check out oscars.org if you don't belive me: awardsdatabase.oscars.org/ampas_awards/BasicSearchInput.jsp

    It's the 73rd oscar (2000)

  • yea, allot of scores are multiple people. Although I'm unsure now, because the TDK score got denied potential for a nomination because there were to many people or something. This movie got snubbed by more than the music noms tho.

  • Bigtime. I for one think Casey blew Bardem out of the water. Monotone and scary is one thing, but Casey Affleck did a master class in acting for this movie. He was incredible.

  • Yeah he certainly was....I thought he did get best Actor tho...No?

  • @BarneyEire0900 I think he was kind of screwed. He was the lead performance in the film, but couldn't be credited over Brad Pitt & thus had to be nominated as a a supporting actor. No Country For Old men was more seen. So Bardem had that category locked. He probably would've lost best actor to Daniel Day-Lewis anyway.

  • @snipee911 I didn' say the multiple people couldn't make an original score. I said they can't get nominated....

  • @abroff007 They can be nominated and such things have happened. The Academy awards the Best Score not the best composer or best songwriter. Therefore if each piece is written by a different person then it can still be the best score.

  • Why is that even a rule? As if great music cant come from more than one person?

  • @ERoBB1 I agree
