I knew people who used to be in Hizbut-Tahreer who used to disbelieve in the punishment of the grave because the only Hadeeth that mention the punishment in the grave are Ahad Hadeeth. They told me that this is what Hizbut-Tahreer used to teach. Either they were mistaken, lying or were of some fake branch of Hizbut-Tahreer, but in any case, that is what they informed me.

The truth is the when the Hizb was growing popular in Jordan/other Middle Eastern countries these rumours were falsely created about the Hizb to discredit them. The Hizb opinion is this: that those who do not believe in Ahad Hadith are very sinful but because they are not qati like Hadith Muttawatir that those people who don't believe in them aren't kafir JUST EXTREMELY SINFUL & the Hizb says they must follow the Ahad Hadith.
