good luck. portland's a cool town. you should really check out los angeles sometime as well if you haven't before, i think you'd find a lot to like here as well. and so far as an american city, it's about as unamerican as it gets - which is possibly why it gets such a bizarre level of misunderstanding from much of the rest of the country, but europeans tend to love it. so far as music and culture, it's the best place i have yet experienced. i love visiting pdx too, though (:
