I lost a magazine to my GLOCK 23 while carrying it in one of that same Blackhawk mag puches. Although to be fair it was during a rough hike in the snow in the hills of KY that even involved having to crawl through thick brush.
Its is impossible to pull the trigger while the gun is still in the holster....... The discharge concerns me none the less ... but I think that something else is at cause..
@CV114 The mechanics of an accidental discharge using this holster could only be caused by debris in the holster. If debris was present in the holster then the discharge would have occurred with just about any holster. The Serpa Locking mechanism in no way touches the trigger of the firearm or even comes near it. Sounds to me like there is more to the story.
@TacticalGearJunkie I'm glad to hear that, I was sort of on edge when I heard about the recall, thankfully they don't make one for my sidearm (Sig Saure P250) so went with the Sig retention holster instead.
I was at US Training Center (aka Blackwater) in Moyak, NC attending the Advanced Pistol Skills Course on range T-5 today. A guy had a SERPA CQC holster with a Glock 17 in it. During a drill he was having a little trouble drawing it and fired a round right through his new green 511 pants. Thank God he didn't shoot himself. The individual had 30 years of miltary and LE experience and is an outstanding shooter. After seeing this I would never recommend this holster...
iv bought these holsters for my glocks.. but i nice 1911.. would it scratch the finish's on the gun? will it scratch and mark up my glocks also? thanks
PLEASE REPLY! i have an airsoft gun; the tangfolio witness 1911. its a co2 pistol which a bought and i need a holster for it. please look up the tangfolio witness 1911 and can you reply back telling me if it would fit in this holster or not? its a funky lookin 1911 lol
advice: next a storm gets close and the wind picks like it did in the video, stop filming, go inside and finish the video or wait until the storm as passed and then finish the video.
Hi, I had a question I hope you could help me with. Do you notice any wear on the trigger guard? I could see this wearing a nice mark on your side arm. Thanks
@lvl8hacker It does leave a mark on the trigger guard for sure, however it seems to be less pronounced on the Sig than the 1911. The finish has a fair bit to do with the resistance to showing wear. That being said, all holsters will wear on your gun. The SERPA does wear on your gun less than others, but hey, why carry it if you don't want some wear and tear on it!
Use a POP filter(Foam Rubber cover) to kill that wind in your mic. I use them outside when the Band does outdoor gigs! Helps clean up your audio alot......Im buying the American Classic II M1911,will it work on this holster. Thanks
@HerbWalker Any 1911 will work just fine with this holster. I'm very familiar with pop filters, I am a audio recording engineer in my spare time. Try as I might, I can't affix a pop filter/wind screen to my digital camera. In the panhandle of Texas, wind noise is something we just have to live with. When I upgrade my camera again I'm going to get one that has a mic line in so I can use directional mics with wind screens. That'll prolly be next year though.
Just bought a Serpa CQH for my Glock 22 love it i love the adjustable settings love the locking feature i live the suck ass state of MA and were a CC state and it is the best holster i have ever bought a little uncomfortable but all in all a one kick ass holster thanks BLACKHAWK
Dude I had it fail I wear it for plain cloths work and the screws snapped and my gun was on the ground. Had another pal had it break during a foot pursuit.

@TacticalGearJunkie Actually Blackhawk had a recall on some of the Serpas for the Glocks for just that reason. You can look it up if you would like.

@snowsk81 Yes it would fit, but why would you buy a firearm holster for $50 for a $15 airsoft gun?

Good info--thanks. I was debating over B.H. or Fobus. Do you think the B.H. sticks out too far from the body for good concealment?
