Love retsu, but they usually have to be a bit try-hard in their comedy on HCBailey. They end up reaching kind of far for virgin jokes, or remarking on unsatisfactory cuts which HCBailey does better than almost anybody for RPGs, or complaining about him explaining too much when it's usually something pretty helpful and concise. He actually highlights a lot of things most people would have missed, given how esoteric the side-quest mechanics and secrets can be. The singing though... I do skip that.

No one should ever watch HCBailly's videos for entertainment. I like to view his LPs as walkthroughs. You don't read a guidebook for a video game for entertainment, you read it so that you get an idea as to what the fuck to do or to find hidden things. Sure, there's Gamefaqs, but sometimes, I just don't feel like reading through it and there are times where I don't understand where the person who created the guide wants me to go. In YouTube videos, there's never that much of a problem.

But I must agree: I Watch HCBailey for the raw, untaited amount of information he gives and not the possible entertainment I may get from his videos. But he is, still, very professional in his approach to lp's.

Um, since when was there a rule that Lets Plays only had to cover the main storyline? HCBailly has fun doing 100% LPs of RPGs, and that's good enough. People who want to complete the game 100% can play along with his videos, and if that's not your thing, just ignore him. @JohnTheFisherman888 Regardless dude, you can sit there and rationalize it any way you want, but an LP should be nothing more than completing the main storyline, along with tactics to beating the main bosses, sub bosses, etc. It should never be this extra tidbits, sidequests, etc. It makes your LP needlessly long and could be condensed to a text FAQ that can be used for quick reference and easy searching. This way, you have to watch the entire video, even if you only need one bit of information.

So judging by IrateGamer, likes and subs are indeed directly related to video quality.

The thing is, when you're doing a 100% LP of the game, there's bound to be some boring parts. I find it commendable that he took the time to get through the hours of boring just to show it off for anyone watching who wants to see it.
I like retsupurae, but due to varying opinions and whatnot, I don't agree with them all the time and this is one of them. To me, HCBailly is one of the better RPG LPers. If you don't want to watch the Chocobo stuff you just skip ahead. And the best part, the part retsupurae usually complains other LPs lack, is HCBailly does grinding off screen so he doesn't waste too much time. The guy's showing off a game series he and a lot of people love. Lot's of people love RPG and there are worse LPs.

Um, since when was there a rule that Lets Plays only had to cover the main storyline? HCBailly has fun doing 100% LPs of RPGs, and that's good enough. People who want to complete the game 100% can play along with his videos, and if that's not your thing, just ignore him. @JohnTheFisherman888 Regardless dude, you can sit there and rationalize it any way you want, but an LP should be nothing more than completing the main storyline, along with tactics to beating the main bosses, sub bosses, etc. It should never be this extra tidbits, sidequests, etc. It makes your LP needlessly long and could be condensed to a text FAQ that can be used for quick reference and easy searching. This way, you have to watch the entire video, even if you only need one bit of information.

@chosentonessournotes As of 5 minutes ago I had no idea who irate gamer was. But after quickly scanning some of his youtube videos, I can surely say he's not that bad. His previews and stuff are conducted in a professional manner. His editing skills are above average.
He has 142k subs and most of his vids consist of 2/3 likes and 1/3 dislikes.
So judging by IrateGamer, likes and subs are indeed directly related to video quality.

@EponymousKid I have seen most of his videos, and he's a good LPer... his style is more of a walk-through style... he explains a lot about the games and doesn't talk about random things about his life or other unrelated stuff (like I've seen in other LPs)
The thing is, when you're doing a 100% LP of the game, there's bound to be some boring parts. I find it commendable that he took the time to get through the hours of boring just to show it off for anyone watching who wants to see it.

I like retsupurae, but due to varying opinions and whatnot, I don't agree with them all the time and this is one of them. To me, HCBailly is one of the better RPG LPers. If you don't want to watch the Chocobo stuff you just skip ahead. And the best part, the part retsupurae usually complains other LPs lack, is HCBailly does grinding off screen so he doesn't waste too much time. The guy's showing off a game series he and a lot of people love. Lot's of people love RPG and there are worse LPs.
