You have to hit up (for front flip) or down (for back flip) as you end the ollie motion, just keep trying and you'll get the timing

@KingdomHeartsFan20 Flipping 101: you always need to do an ollie before a flip or else it dose'nt work - you just stay still... oh, and make sure you land perfectly level with the slope or else you'll bail... alot.
