I'm taking care of my friend's chinchilla next week. But I don't know much of those (cute ^^) little animal. I know they don't really like to be pet or to stay in their cage.
Are those animals have vicious nature (bite,pee, escape...) when they are not with their owner? If I let him out of his cage would it purchase me and bite me lol? Do they jump on you for no reason?
If you have any expérience to share (bad or good) it would be really helpful.
aww hehe i wanted to get my chinchillas a wheel but i didnt think they would like them like hamsters do.....this shows they obv do....bless them they all want a go!!!
Fellow chinchilla lovers, don't worry! This playtime was highly supervised; two people were standing just outside the camera's view. The chinchillas were shuttled to and from the playpen via carrier. It was approximately 60 degrees outside that day. The grass was untreated, and the chins were far from traffic, predators, and other potential stressors/dangers.
