@1Eu4ic Michael Tsarion is the worlds premier conspiracy reseracher/lecturer/author. Leo Zagami, Jordan Maxwell and Alexandre Dumas pere are highly informative as well. p.s. Melting Euphoria is similar to Ozric Tentacles and Gong.
I love his style, technic and the most important his music...Only guitarrists like Henderson Mclaughlin de Lucia Gambale Garsed and Howe are the consumate masters of this instrument as Shawn....though ...the God still is Allan Holdsworth
shawn is better than holdsworth imo. he is obviously more technically advanced, but he is also far more diverse in both musicality and technicality. holdsworth has the upper hand in key changes and legato, but that is all that you could really give him over shawn lane.
@FeedMeForiAmATroll Well i dont think that shawn is more advanced...its clear that Shawn had the best picking technic i´ve ever seen...and holdsworth has the best legato as well his using with the pick...I ve listened at least all his collaborations with Soft machine, Gong, Derek Sherinian, Vinnie Colaiuta, Bruford, Gambale , etc...and his solo stuff....and of course I love the music of Shawn, its a pity that he passed away so quickly..but just its my personal opinion my friend...S is S & H is H
shawn wasn't just more technically advanced with the pick. his hybrid picking was also mind blowing and his legato was still damn good. his ability to mix everything is second to none and so are his unbelievable stretches and tricky patterns. i can play the good majority of holdsworth licks. once you get down the hammer ons from nowhere it's not as advanced as it may seem. it's the key modulation that makes it tricky. shawn is just on a whole other level.
This still predominantly sounds like scales to me. Everyone is saying he has the most amazing soul and expression but I just don't hear it. Can someone lead me to something that ticks those boxes??
of course it sounds like scales, what do you think people make solo's out of? do you think Zakk Wylde or Syn from A7X just whips shit together out of thin air? Most major guitarists use scales, otherwise solo's would sound like ass.
@Molag hahaha yea I think I figured that out. But imo a good guitarist will convey more expression in their playing so as to not sound like they are simply going up and down scales. It seems you haven't listened to a good guitarist who can play and hit notes purely by feel instead of just pumping out licks and scale patterns. And yes you can still play fast in this way if shredding is what you are into.
Most guys who play crazy fast don't catch my ear, Shawn blazes like mad and is so soulful and musical at the same time. Beautiful stuff. Hellborg and Sipe are fantastic too.
the video is without sound! :(
