Just like Call of Duty. No one wants to watch intense games of Domination where you go 29 and 19 and win by 1 point with your team.

They'd rather watch quick TDM's and free for all's where the guy is quickscoping and gets a MOAB.

It's more entertaining to watch. But the intense games/battles are funner to be in.

This battle was intense to me because it was a battle of wit. And I was at a clear disadvantage with 2 psychics and his Hydreigon. I pulled through but yknow.

Unless the slowbro magically got a speed boost or hydreigon slowed down, he would have fainted the next turn anyway. However, I probably wouldn't have switched out. But he was pretty much sunk either way, seeing as the hydreigon took out his remaining Pokemon without giving any of them a chance to strike. Bad luck on the flinching, that sucks.

Regarding stupid luck... in Pokémon Stadium, I was once battling the Elite Four. I had only rentals (no Game Boy :( ) so they were far from optimized. It came down to my Kadabra vs a Slowbro. It kept using Surf, which took roughly 40% of my life each turn. I kept using Recover to get back 50%. So, a cycle of attrition. I knew I had best speed and that Surf had less PP than Recover, so I just kept using it. And then, last Surf (I counted): Critical hit. Fuck you, dumb cheating AI. :)

Slowbro is a fantastic pokemon >.> Being a heavily defensive water/psychic that carries access to light screen to protect from it's vulnerable special side. As well as a reliable recovery in terms of slack off and has a decent spec attack, that can carry stab psychic or scald, and on top of that, has arguably one of the best abilities in the game for a wall.

Slowbro... is an epic underrated Pokèmon. Although I haven't finished the Unova games yet (Bad pc+rom=Lag) am I pretty sure that Slowbro, or Slowking, is amongst the better Pokèmons. A defensive bastard with good Spc Attack.

@xlntjames Ah, but that effect disappears as he switches out. The status effects only remain when the user use Baton Pass to change out. For instance, if you spam your Pokèmon with, lets say, Swords Dance, he will only get that bonus. If he wants to send it of, he has to Baton Pass. Then again, if he wants his Swords Dance bonus back, the one who received the aid must Baton Pass back to him again.

Long story short: That would only effect him if he remained in battle after using the move.

One of my old favorites from when I used to play. Although I did rename it. I feel how you do except I like everything before black and white. I respect black and white though, but I consider that for the next generation of pokemon fans :)

There's nothing you can do if you get sleep/paralyzed/confused 5 turns in a row, or if your opponent gets a ton of critical hits, or if your moves miss a lot, etc...
