When anyone makes the case for homeschooling, the one thing I never understand, is why can they not do these activities with their kids if they are in public school? These "lessons" she is describing are the type of family activities we did as kids for fun. We went to school to learn one way, and learned at home a different way. Both ways of learning have a place and are important.

Homeschooling makes children regress socially. I would support a law that outlawed it. Even though I know the Holocaust is a scam, and birth control is evil, those scams can be overcome with parents teachng the truth.

Messed up kids, that is a lifelong problem.

@Celewen With few exceptions, most home schooled kids I have met come from families where mom or dad is a flake and is too lazy to take them to school. Most play the religion card, but are hypocrits on that as well.

@holocaustexpert ooooh, i get it, your one of the uneducated people that oppose homeschooling. here are the facts, most homeschoolers are part of a large family, or have other homeschoolers that they organise regular activities with, so most of them do not lack socalization. oooh, yes, because invasive parenting and education that caters to the childs learning style just FUCKS UP OUR KIDS..... are you kidding me??!! you might be a holocaust expert, but you greatly lack in other areas, IM SURE!!!

It just KILLS me the many times people say the socialism issue is a negative of homeschooling. Homeschooled kids get tons of socialism from extra curricular activities.

@joyfulmother You are precisely right. I was homeschooled and I think I'm a more socially-rounded person because I was around people of all ages, not just my peers.

the only possible negative, imo, about homeschooling is the social aspect. but generally, homeschooled kids are actually more intelligent than the majority of state schooled people
