  • Nice Job, its great to see someone doing it justice, Kudos Brother.

(all except for the clock going off in the backround at .32 ) LOL

  • pretty sure thats a patented jimi hendrix chord isnt it ?

  • Congratulations to all of you for appreciating such a great song they never play on the radio! It is so relaxing.....Well, time to log off and go listen to it another thirty times in a row (from SRV@DT's "In Step" CD). What a great way to close out a CD!!!

  • With tabs & your video I nailed this song... So, thx Dude!

  • always wondered about this one...great teachin bud...now i have a chance to learn it ..cheers

  • "Whatever gets the job done." Great expression. I'll have to remember that for arguments about technique. "The tune comes first, guys!" Great, thanks!

  • thanks mate great vid,p.sROCK ON S.R.V.

  • i swear you dont explain all the steps because when you speed it up you added a bunch of stuff you didnt explain...you might want two fix that...

  • thankyou for showing that without a whole bunch of bullshit

  • I'm a drummer but THIS IS FASCINATING to me !! I want your opinion now, how hard is this song to play ? How do you rank SRV amongst the greatest guitar players ? What do you think of this song ? Is there " magic " in some guitars, like SRV's ? Thank you greatly, appreciate it.

  • @gaspo2180 I play drums, and other instruments, but guitar is my real passion... In my opinon, SRV is one of the greatest ever; if not truly one of the best. In difficulty? This song is pretty hard to play, getting all the slides and hammer ons and pullofs down, while keeping the solid rhythm and everything... But, that being said, his music is not the hardest to play. Simply some of the most beautiful ;) If guitarists who like blues want some tough things to play, Jimi Hendrix is on the list.:P

  • what clock do you have? ;)

    good job man:) tnx

  • this video made me smile. Sr. do you know how to write tabs?

if you could please tab this for me it would be great, thanks and keep on jammin

  • you sir... are amazing

  • How is the chord that you play in 3:51? thanks!

  • watching you take your hand off the neck and shake every two seconds it is making me mental, lol.........

  • can you tell me the chord progression? im gonna play this song in 2 weeks

  • Oooo yeeaaahhh !... Riviera Paradise ...!

  • thank you for taking the time to do this i am learning this now and your lesson is great!!

  • that guitar looks great. What pickups you got? Duncans?

  • @spakuloid Yes, their duncan vintage stacked. The guitar is a japanese vintage reissue.

  • For not being a teacher you sure taught me - I'm an old dog learning new tricks here.

  • what are the names of the chords after the innitial minor 9s?

  • @ShimoOwnzU I wish I knew. I'm an ear player. I know basic chords but these are beyond me. Good luck, and if you find out, let me know.

  • @fargenacle if you sent me tabs of the chords I could tell you what they are

  • @fargenacle There are many names that can be given to these chords (at 0:52) but the easiest name would be a B flat dominant 13 chord (because the 6th degree relative to the root of the chord is the G which is on the B string on the 8th fret!) then it resolves to a regular B flat dominant 7 chord...

    Hope this helps!

    ~dan

    Hope this helps!

  • @dantheguitarman88 Thanks Dan!

  • @fargenacle no problem! :)

  • What is the tuning on this song?

  • @laxfreak317 Tuned to E flat.

  • @laxfreak317 The tuning is standard just tuned down a half step to E flat.

  • Nice, great lesson dude. Is that a Fender Lone Star Strat? I got one just like it, really nice look on it i got the seymour duncan humbucker's aswell

  • @900boxes Thanks! It's a 50's reissue strat made in Japan. It did have all white parts but I changed it.

  • @fargenacle 1:01 its not e string open itsn an harmonic at the 7th fret

  • @hiladelphia I just watched and listened to every version I have. Open E is what I see and hear. Where did you get the harmonic from? I'm not saying you're wrong but I am curious.

  • @fargenacle i got it on a power tab version (I have guitar pro)

Just listen to the original song and tell me... :D

  • @hiladelphia Good deal. Thanks.
