As i see it's a dell inspiron 6400 or 9400 notebook. I would like to ask, where did you buy a touchscreen panel kit for that notebook? I have an 9400 with 17inch panel. Or you simply bought that usb model that you can flip on to the screen panel?

It's completely possible, they make laptops with touchscreens, and if the computer was running that software, the touchscreen works exactly like a mouse, so... Wether he was or wasn't using a touchscreen, it's not impossible by any stretch of the imagination.
