Ours is 175lb and our test is harder in my opinion! we have to run up the drill tower once we get to the top we have a hose roll we have to pull up not the sections its like a 35lb hose roll, run back down the stairs, go to the keiser machine, run around cones grab a charged hose and run 75ft, grab a 175lb dummy and pick up and drag 100ft and we have to do it in 6 min or less!

No, what we did was 1st they took us to our High School m we had to hook hoses up to the truck then after that roll a hose up and carry it to the top of the ramp then we had 2 pick 2 bundles of hoses up and put them rd our shoulders n walk 2 top of the bleachers then drop the bundles and pull a rope over the top railing then after that take our 2 bundles n walk 2 the bottom drop those walk across a balance beam them take a fan hang it up drag a dummy then the maze n ladder climb was the last

Most agility tests are boots, scba (or weight equivalent vest,) helmet, and gloves. Sometimes a jacket.

No problem. Some tips: look straight ahead. You are tied into a rope rigging system with fall protection. The side rails of the ladder are quite high and gives you a snug safe and secure feeling. Take your time.

It's not really like climbing a ladder, it's almost more like climbing stairs. The ladder is extremely sturdy and you wont feel it even move. Just look straight up and you'll be fine. It's a lot less scary when you actually are on it climbing.

We and the Fargo Fire Department have a long history of using this basic test. Some say it is too difficult and should be modified.  Who knows.
