Even with the Gov. option - if you get it on your own without an employer picking up part of the tab it's going to be expensive. Medicaid really sucks. Most doctors won't deal with Medicaid as it's reimbursement rate is 5 cents on the dollar. So you either find a medicaid clinic somewhere or you go to the hospital emergency room.

Medicare is a program with several parts. The part you pay in payroll taxes is part A. It covers very little. I had an idea for health care reform but nobody is interested in it. I call it Health Care Assurance. Not insurance
Its voluntary to sign up for. It involves 2% payroll tax. and a broad base sales tax of 10% on all over the counter patent drugs and medical supplies. This would create a fund to pay for health care for every working person.

I don't think that's where the bulk of his money came from. Because he refused government matching funds, he could and did except funding from any source. He got money from the Middle East, George Soros, and a host of big dollar contributors.
Of course, Bush did the same thing in 2000 and 2004. Seems the post Watergate reforms have been circumvented.

I believe the maximum is $2,500.00 per person and/ or family. Then the government will match the sum dollar for dollar.

As for Bush. His brother was governor of Florida so it looks fishy. Gore did get more popular votes. Gore tried to get Florida court to stop the recount. GOP went to Supreme court which overruled Florida. The recount gave Bush the 570 vote margin. Had the election gone to the House of Representatives as per the constitution, Bush would have one as the House was controlled by the Republicans. Face it, Gore ran a lousy campaign.

To get into the Middle East. Really there's a few reasons. In 2000 Saddam wanted to dump the dollar for oil trading and he was pushing others to do the same. That trans Afghan pipeline to bring Caspian resources to the west. Oil contracts in Iraq after Saddam was lynched. Business contracts out the ass. Just look up Bush family war profiteers. The Towers collapsed due to how they were constructed. Built over a huge "bathtub" retaining wall system to hold back the Hudson river. Tower 1 & 2 used curtain wall construction around a central core of steel and drywall. Once the outer curtain wall was compromised, the jet fuel softened the remaining steel which could not support the mass of the structure.

Medicaid really sucks. Most doctors won't deal with Medicaid as it's reimbursement rate is 5 cents on the dollar. So you either find a medicaid clinic somewhere or you go to the hospital emergency room.

Medicare is a program with several parts. The part you pay in payroll taxes is part A. It covers very little. Seniors have to buy additional ins. such as part B medicare or additional private plan medigap ins. Part C is called Advantage. Its like an HMO. It cost the gov. too much and they want to cut it. Also Medicare in nearing insolvency.

yup. when governor of AZ, "janet" refused to send national guard troops to seal the border because the feds would not foot the bill. now she is the feds and still refuses, even when a pandemic walked across in april. she has replaced the fence with "todos gratis" signs. the foot? it is coming down squarely on our throat- American Citizens. anyone must be a blithering idiot to believe anything coming from CONgress or obamanation

Medicare is going to experience drastic cuts in the near future even WITHOUT health care public option because end stage disease elderly are getting treated to the max, and the money is running out. Just wait a year or two. When medicare is bankrupt-which it WILL become-and private health insurance doubles if not triples-which it will-then maybe more republicans will be willing to consider public option. So let's just forget about it and let things go the way it is.

Obviously public option will not pass. There is too much debate on this. It's wasteful. Why not just leave it the way it is and when the medical insurance triples or quadruples (and it will) in a year or so, it will be revisited and people will be more willing to listen. It's really very simple.

Also, these "key-words" they use are to general...One can be both a conservative, and a socialist, being that the word "conservative" comes from a conservation of traditions, rather than market/status quo nonsense....besides, its funny how so-called "conservatives" are guilty of spending MORE, but only on terrible wars, and no bid contracts.
