  • it's simple, people. The genocide was ignored because much of the West doesn't give a shit about Africa. It's a resource rich trash dump in the eyes of Western business. A place to fight proxy wars over. But not to get involved in actually helping people live good lives. And this is coming from an American. I'm saying that we Americans and Europeans need to seriously improve the way we treat Africa.

  • Huh....which ones are the good guys he ask. Well, I guess that would depend on your definition of what good is...

  • The mere thought that the US might be blamed for meddling in another states affairs has never been significant enough to keep it from taking action, where it sees itself acting for significant interests. We've been blamed plenty of times for stepping into situations taking place within other borders; the criticism was hardly ever a surprise.

  • this is a clear demonstration of the power of brain washind.it's sad that so many ennocent souls had to be lost as a result of indoctrination.

  • pamela nomvete is such an amazing actress, knew she would pull this one.

  • Great Movie, potrays the events very well.

  • While it's a sympathetic story, we have to realize that we can't prevent everything. We can't be everywhere also, even if there are disasters going on.

  • I don't remember learning about the Rwanda genocide only bout the holocaust

  • "Which ones are the good guys?" United States foriegn policy in all it's glory...

  • @PuppetMask good guys r the Tutsi rebels bad guys Hutu extremist Hutu millta

  • @PuppetMask Hey America can't take all of the blame. Remember it was a former Belgian colony.

  • @edavismookie25 That's true.

  • Killing Humans as if they have no worth, wickedness of mankind, it is written in revelation 22:12 And Behold I come Quickly and my reward is with me To give every man according as his work shall be..

  • Day 3 - 30 000 people killed?!? :O

  • "WHAT IS OUR VITAL INTEREST IN RWANDA?" GOD HAVE MERCY!

  • @URTCHMANYOUNG i was sooo pissed when tht guy said tht

  • @ghanaprincess10. it shows and tells us to fight for ourselves. Africa is better than where we have placed it

  • 1,000,000 people killed!!!! No matter whether they were Hutus or Tutsis. THEY WERE PEOPLE!!!! "FUKKUN" HUMAN BEINGS!!!!!!!!

  • Had to figure they'd ref they'd make a reference to the Hotel Milles Collines.

  • i prefer this than hotel rawanda

  • th scene wher he hugs his wife goodbye is just so damn sad!!

  • Yea step off America and do shit yourselves. Yes we should have stepped in, but people are pussies a couple 500pound bombs on key targets and this shit would have ended. its a shame those people died for nothing.

  • Excellent piece of cinematic work...really captures the chaos and turmoil of the time!

  • the sad thing about this genocid is that rarely someone knows anything about it!

  • shows u what people think about, shit like losing weight

  • Not excusing the decision made by the Americans during this crisis, however, nobody else stepped in to do something. The entire world bears the same level of blame.

  • @Sashajoon Yeah but france and america had actually backed the hutu government against the tutsi so they do bear some responsibility. I am not saying they intended there to be a genocide but they indirectly helped bring it about.

  • @Sashajoon Well, in Iraq the US did step in, and see what happened...I still remember the demonstrations against the intervention.

  • @RazorbackGermany yh because everyone knows when resources are involved they will definetly get involved!

even the guy at 0:38 says it what are our interests if their interests aren't at risk who cares!

  • @Sashajoon Meh but then again, if we DID step in, people would blame us with interfering with affairs other than our own.

  • @squishycommander ..at least you would have saved 800,000 innocent lives

  • wich one are the good guys? lol :D

    the ones america supply``?

  • @heero171 Have you considered that the people who want Americans to intervene are not the same as those who rave about American Imperialism?
