It's not against science logic exactly, but it can be explained by science, so it is not "magic". By quickly moving his arm to the block of ice and contacting the ice with one specific part of his hand, the ice is breakable. Also, the ice is broken into sheets, and it's not ONE huge block of ice, so it is MUCH easier to break. Theoretically you could apply enough force to a few of the ice sheets to break the rest. Science is great!!
Hey Josh!I dont really know if you recognise me =D...its Lina! This is incredible, but its sad you didnt make it an official Guiness Record...we would have a star in the family =)
wtf. I did not realize so many people at the dojo had youtube accounts. But once again I must admit how awesome this break is! Tameshiwari at itès finest!
The guy who was breaking ice is my sensei, and today (april 1st) i asked him if he hurt himself, except he didn't. In fact this is his last time breaking ice...He also might have a chance to make it into the Guiness World Records Book! The Record Was 13 ice blocks, but my sensei did 14!
Im only 12 but i can at least break 4 Red Blocks... which is good for my age.
@WaliUchiha Can you find out what he used as molds to make the ice I have not been able to find the answer as to hwo to make or where to buy these big blocks of ice, I have started doing ice breaks a few months ago but my molds and breaks are very tiny compared to his, and i would love to start trying to work my way up to these bigger breaks
@onihayashi Uhmm....i noticed how you replied to that comment two years later (i'm fourteen now) and I quit Karate the year after i posted that comment :P Sorry!

I usually only make it there on Mondays. I iwll ask Josh which one you are. There are some pix of me i believe on the walls. They go back a few years however...

@scar504, on the other hand if you don't break the first one quickly(?) enough, the lowest ones might not break.

I was there too. What is more amazing about the guy is his unpretentious daily conduct.
He simply tries to do the right regardless of whether anyone sees it or not.
I am ten years older than he but learning from him constantly...
This is the kind of person we want teaching our kids...
